The hotel feels new, and has a nice location right on a quiet beach.
It's pretty small by Mercure standards, and has few neighbors (though more hotels are built in the vicinity), so can feel a bit desolate.
We booked this hotel in part for its proximity to the airport - but it's still a 20 minutes drive.

Firstly the good things. We stayed in you amaxing suite. 701. The room was great and Maria the lovely lady that serviced our room was also great. The lifeguard Voy was also smashing. Always happy to put up the umbrella and looked after us. Unfortunately after that the hotel goes go down hill. The breakfast was quite lacklustre. Tepid food served on cold plates. The refusal to refill the filter coffee, even when there was still an hour left to go before breakfast finished. The only hot food was the omelette, which after asking 3 times we eventually received.
The rooftop bar looked great, unfortunately that was where the good bit ended. An espresso martini served with massive chunks of ice. The poor cocktail waiter seened to have to have no knowledge of how to make a cocktail without us telling him the ingredients. Freezing cold mist blown from fans, totally unnecessary as it was chilly and a lack of atmosphere made this an unappealing place to visit. The twice we went there we were the only ones there.
Our friends that live in Pyla didn't even know it was open to the public. One problem is that you need a room key to enter the lift to get to the bar which would look like it is a residents bar.
Most eveings we walked to The Radisdon hotel next door to enjoy their music and delicious cocktails.
Such a shame as the hotel has great potential.

We had a wonderful and very romantic stay at Mercure Larnaca Beach Resort.
Before our arrival, we mentioned that we were coming to celebrate our love, and when we entered the room we found such a lovely surprise waiting for us — bathrobes, flowers, brownies and strawberries (and a lovely note) on the bed. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel very special from the very beginning.
The staff throughout our stay were absolutely lovely — friendly, helpful, available and very responsive to every request. Our room was perfect for us, with plenty of storage space. The minibar wasn’t working at first, but someone came to fix it almost immediately after we called. We also really appreciated that some of the power outlets were compatible with Israeli plugs, which was very convenient since we didn’t have enough adapters with us.
On our last day, since we had to leave very early, the hotel prepared a breakfast box for us upon request, with exactly the items we had asked for — another small detail that showed how attentive the service was.
There were only two minor downsides. During our stay, the hotel hosted private events, and one of them took place directly below our sea-view room, which we had paid extra for. The music was very loud and continued late into the evening, and unfortunately we were only informed about the event that same morning. The pool could also have been a little cleaner.
Other than that, our stay was truly amazing. Breakfast was delicious, the hotel is beautiful, and overall it completely met our expectations. We would happily stay here again!

Check-in at Mercure Larnaca was an absolute breeze. The property is sleek and modern, and as an ALL Accor Platinum member, I deeply appreciated the complimentary room upgrade. We were assigned a wonderful corner room that offered dual vistas: the pool on one side and the beach on the other. While the room layout is more compact than other properties we stayed at in Cyprus, it was well-configured with enough floor space to comfortably manage open luggage and navigate with ease.
Housekeeping was consistent and thorough. We appreciated the daily carton-packaged drinking water and were pleased to see that towels hung up were not replaced, showing a genuine commitment to sustainable hospitality practices. Breakfast was another highlight, featuring a high-quality spread that included fresh honeycomb—a rare and delightful touch.
However, one serious operational concern detracted from the experience: during breakfast, a member of the waitstaff was serving food and attending tables while visibly unwell, with an active, productive cough and no face mask. In a food service setting, standard hygiene and infection-control protocols should require staff presenting with respiratory symptoms to mask up or be reassigned away from food preparation and guest dining areas. Addressing this would bring the property’s health standards in line with its otherwise high quality of hospitality.

Following an internal review of the matter, no member of our team was reported as suffering from an infectious or contagious disease at the time. The colleague you may be referring to was experiencing an allergy at the time and was being appropriately monitored by their management.

Good stay. Didn't feel there was anything special for being a loyal member, but did receive value for what I paid for.
Only thing missing to give this stay a perfect score was if the hotel provided an upgraded room.
The staff were excellent and seeing the cats each day was the highlight of our stay.

Zero flexibility, grumpy faces and no customer service oriented.
Hotel has a great potential to be a very nice place for your vacation but the staff makes you don't feel very welcome.
Just because you book under friends and family rate, maybe you don't have the right to enjoy your vacation because you booked with a discount, so you are not important for them.
Larnaca is a cool place, but don't waste your time here, is in the middle of nowhere anyways and everywhere is under construction...

We are also sorry that you felt the location was too far from the main areas. Our hotel is situated in a peaceful beachfront setting, while central Larnaca is approximately a 12-minute drive away. The surrounding construction works are external and unfortunately outside our control.
We respect that every guest has a different experience and perspective, but we cannot agree that our team does not care about customer service. We remain proud of the many guests who recognize the genuine effort, warmth, and professionalism of our colleagues. Thank you for acknowledging the potential of the hotel. We had an absolutely wonderful family stay at the Mercury Hotel Villa in Cyprus. From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable, relaxed and very welcome.
The villa was beautiful, spacious and perfect for a family holiday. Everything was clean and well maintained, and we especially enjoyed the privacy and peaceful atmosphere. It was exactly the kind of place where you can truly switch off, spend quality time together and enjoy Cyprus.
Our whole family had a fantastic time, and we left with so many great memories. The stay exceeded our expectations, and we would happily choose this villa again for another holiday in Cyprus.

The room was very small, although "deluxe", and the sea view was relative from the L-shaped terrace that we could barely use anyway because of the heat. We could barely move around the room, and we only had 2 rather small cabin-sized bags, and not a lot of stuff. The pictures in the app don't show the real size of the room, nor the sea view we got. It is nice the hotel has its own beach, however, the beach was very dirty, with litter (cigarettes, plastic pieces, sticks etc.) and even a sock (!?) accumulating around the sun loungers. In 3 days, nothing was cleaned. The staff was nice and helpful, particularly the SPA team and the restaurant staff, and they made our stay a little better. The massage at the SPA was very good, and the gym, while rather small, is OK compared to other hotel gyms. The food is OK, but not extraordinary, and for a longer stay, you might run out of options. The rooftop bar sounds nice, but in reality it is a bit basic in terms of design, a bit dissapointing as well. Overall, dissapointing and not as relaxing as we were hoping, with the biggest issues being the size of the room and the litter on the beach. The main plus - (some of) the staff.

Regarding the room, our Deluxe categories and their layouts are clearly presented in the booking information, and we are sorry if the space did not meet your expectations. We also regret that the room and terrace were not as comfortable for you as hoped. Regarding the beach, we would like to clarify that it is a public beach and not exclusively used by hotel guests only. Our team regularly carries out cleaning rounds and provides bins around the area, but unfortunately some visitors leave cigarette butts, plastic and other litter behind. While we do our best to keep the area clean, we cannot fully control the behavior of members of the public using the beach.
We are sorry that your overall experience was not as relaxing as you had hoped, but we truly appreciate your positive comments about our team and we hope to welcome you back for a better experience in the future.

Dear Sirs, When I made my booking through phone I asked that my room is not facing the construction site. I called a few days before my arrival and asked again the same.
When I arrived at the hotel I asked at the reception where was my room and the employee said that the room balcony was facing the swimming pool.
When I entered the room I saw that the room was facing the construction site (room 708)!!!
From inside the room I could hear all the time the trucks and I waked by the trucks.
What a disappointment!
On the other hand your hotel is excellent, the beach, the location, the building, the facilities, the staff at the restaurant, at the bar very friendly.
