Accor website not user friendly, I thought I canceled my reservation, but it was still active.

Even thought I canceled my reservation online, it was still active, we stayed in another Accor hotel and were charged one night at the Greet hotel. We went to see them, explained the situation, they could see that the cancelation was attempted the day after the booking, their hotel was wide open so they did not lose any other customers because of us, they only refunded the breakfast. The customer service agent from Accor phone center said they might do a commercial gesture an refund me because it was obvious I tried to cancel but only one room was cancelled.
