This is my second time for me to visit Takayama, Japan with in 2 months period. I still select Mercure Hida Takayama to stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I saw several European, Asia (non-Japan) staff, waiting to support at the front desk, all of them are well English communication (including Japanese staff). They are well organized, fast, supportive, etc. Room are very comfort, especially the bed is great. Two bottle of water still provide which is good for us. Air conditioner is working well both hot and cold temperature. Bathroom is big and well designed. Shower pressure is great along with warm/hot water. Compare to the same costed hotel around Japan, Mercure Hida Takayama has done excellent job and still maintain the quality. My next Takayama trip will definitely choose the same.

Stayed a night here as a brief stop in Takayama and enjoyed our stay. The hotel seems new and gives being on a cruise ship vibes with its furnishing and blue wall panels. The room layout is fantastic and is of a good size. Bed is comfortable and the bathroom is modern. Breakfast was superb.
