went in Oct, we booked two rooms for our family of four. the twin room for the boys had a bad dusty smell that was either from the aircon or the carpet. the king bed room was at the corner and we had a small balcony, which was great cos we could open the door and let the cold air in. great views of the mountains from the higher floors. Breakfast was pretty much the same everyday. From the train station, just a straight walk to the hotel. Very convenient. For Lunch and Dinner, many options around Takayama, walkable from the hotel too. Attractions are walkable too. And if booking bus tickets at JR Station, all 5mins walk away. Super location!

Just felt it was okay but not above 7 out of 10, found bar staff a bit cold in the evenings and not happy! Coffee machine in the mornings had a very long wait and toaster was useless

Centrally located with gorgeous views of Takayama as I was at the top 8th floor The service was tip top, the onsen was very nice, although the temperature was only about 40°C. Breakfast buffet was modest but scrumptious.

Must say the best Mercure I have ever stayed at. Location is just a right turn from Takayama station within 3-5minutes. Hotel has onsen both indoor and outdoor on the top floor, there is even 3 private mini onsens on paid. Room was cozy and modern. Breakfast was comprehensive buffet with a lot of local ingredients and dishes. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Located really close to the station, which is convenient for arrival and departure. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The bar was very ambient in the evenings and a nice place to enjoy a drink or two. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Bed was really comfortable.
