Lovely Hotel, with really helpful staff.unfortunately our room was so hot we couldn’t sleep properly in it .

Overnight stay in great room. Small but beautiful, clean and comfortable.Whole building is amazing with most of the original architectural details retained. I ate elsewhere. After a good nights sleep I had 2 hours in the spa, all to myself. Very relaxing. Yes, you do have to pay extra to use it, and children are not allowed, but it means it is a peaceful sanctuary rather than a children’s play area. I’m looking forward to my next stay.

The hotel decor and the architecture is very impressive and the colleagues in reception and the Palm are super helpful. Four of us stayed at the hotel and we had two rooms, our rooms were lovely. Breakfast was a completely different experience, the service was appalling, they closed the kitchen having forgotten our cooked breakfast and after waiting nearly an hour presented us with the most shocking over cooked food that was inedible. The following morning the breakfast service was equally poor. I complained on both mornings but can only describe the response by the male manager (didn’t get his name) as inadequate and insincere.

The staff were exceptional from check-in, right the way through our 2 night stay. Very friendly and accommodating to our requests. The spa (pool, gym, sauna etc) was excellent and for £50 we made the most of our 10am-6pm access! The room was stunning, high ceilings, extremely comfortable bed. I think the listing on booking.com was well advertised with plenty of photos that reflect the hotel very well. No complaints what so ever. I will likely be back at some point!
