Stayed here on Sunday night,checked in early got a nice room. Brie on reception was brilliant very friendly and efficient and made us feel very welcome. Location is great with everything in a short walking distance. Had breakfast in the morning which was fine. Would stay again.

There was a smell what I thought was smoke in the room but it was from the duvet very overpowering unpleasant smell, the room was cold and the noise of doors banging at 5:30am woke me up, half a toilet roll left from previous occupants which should have been replaced. Old heater on the wall full of dust. Hotel needs updating and cleaning.

Chef graham was unbelievable and pooched eggs was fantastic I am a boxer up here doing some training brilliant start to my day highly recommend him top bloke the hotel was clean and tired and the staff was friendly I enjoy the views and everything

Kieran at the from fest was amazing and really helpfull with my stay and visit to the city. Me and my wife also had drinks at the bar on floor 2. Andrew the bar man was very professional and helps us with our drink choice! He also served and amazing dry martini with a twist. Staff here make this hotel

I’ve came here to praise a staff member her name was Chelsie Me and my partner couldn’t be more happier with the service we received from her she couldn’t do more for us this woman was so genuine I will remember her for a long time from now with the things we spoke about so thank you Chelsie for a gorgeous stay at the mercure hotel we will be planning to stay here again some time soon hope to see you again lovely
