2nd visit to Liverpool & 2nd to the Mercure. We like this hotel because of the location on the waterfront and also that it has parking facilities. The room we had was perfect for 2 adults and 1 child and even with the fold out bed didn't seem to small. Didn't use the restaurante facilities so cannot comment on that but was disappointed that the Vu Bar wasn't opened when we arived.

Apart from the location, the hotel did not meet expectation

We stayed here for 1 night for my birthday. Lovely receptionist to greet us, we were way too early but they took our luggage in for us until it was ready so we went for a nice walk along the dock and town. We were on the ninth floor which we loved. Very clean room, nice crisp white sheets. Everything you need in the room including tea and coffee. The view from our room was stunning, the Albert docks and the very impressive Liver buildings to name a couple. The breakfast in the morning superb. Buffett so help yourselves. Nice and hot too. All in all a lovely stay and would book again

It was ok

Hotel itself and staff are lovely. However we had an issue with our a/c which was sorted straight away. I left my dress in our original room and told reception and they could not find it even though I let them know and was staying another night. I am still waiting for the dress, it was brand new with tags so I good not stolen. The noise in the hotel is ridiculous from other rooms. Be prepared for parties in rooms next to you. One of my party (we had 3 rooms) had it on the Friday night until 5.30am and my room had it on the Saturday night until 5am. Overall stay was good, staff lovely especially reception staff, just some issues which slighted it

The location of this hotel is fantastic and we had a great view from our room. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a lot of noise from an adjacent room on two nights, just loud conversation so I presume there's a problem with the insulation. The room wasn't entirely clean and we had a problem on one day with our room not being serviced until later in the day because priority was being given to check ins, so we had to sit downstairs for quite a while. Although this was explained to us, I didn't appreciate people who weren't there being given priority over those who (i.e. us) who were. We have stayed here twice before and felt the ambience had changed. It now feels like a budget hotel and we won't be back.

Well located

Room smelled of damp (506), hotel staff lovely but was annoyed we got told to leave the bar after 11 when we had just bought drinks. Lovely breakfast.

The hotel is in need of a refurbishment especially the public areas. The staff were always polite and accommodating. The room was clean and had a fantastic view of the river Mersey and the Liver building.

The hotel was lovely and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. Disabled room was one of the best we have stayed in. Had a meal and it was lovely over look the river.. we found it was a little far out for us and the lift was a little small for the electric wheelchair but was fine

as indicated we would go back again but would not accept a back room which was looked into by a tower block of offices. No view despite requested. Overall though friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere contributed to high marks. Better than Ibis in my opinion.

Excellent location, clean and tidy, friendly and helpful staff

Did not meet expectations

First for a Mecure brand this was a big disappointment, not as we expected. The rooms were ready for a major renovation and rather cramped and the food and service was not up the standards expected. To these comments I would say that the exception was Courtenay on Reception was first class and helpful but overall I think that the hotel lacked investment and decent training in the restaurant. These staff did their best but clearly needed more support and back up.

Good Stay

We had a very good time in Liverpool and the location of the hotel was ideal, the staff were very friendly and very help full, I would recommend this hotel as it isn`t to far from the city centre, and all the other attractions.

Great location. Good stay.

All fine. Hotel bed was great. Room a bit small but rather the big bed than a smaller one so OK with me. No fresh air though. No window openings and although A/C cooled the room I prefer fresh air every time. All in all the stay was fine.
