We had a little bit of confusion to start our stay. It transpired that when we booked the reservation had been mixed up with another package. On arrival at reception Charlotte was extremely understanding a. immediately advised my friend L. a. I (Tina) to go straight to the Spa for our treatment a. what we thought we had booked would be honoured. Upon arrival at the Spa we were greeted by Hannah who explained that the original massage had been cancelled as it was not with our package. However the hotel would honour this as we had been told it was included. But we had to book for the next day. We did not mind a. were given access to the Spa. The Spa is delightful serene a. very inviting. Because of the confusion we were treated to some complimentary Prosecco from Callum who was so polite an absolute gentleman . We were delighted a very nice touch. After this we went back to reception our room was ready a. bags had already been taken up. Charlotte said we could go for our afternoon tea we were escorted to the Palm court by Matthew from Idaho. He was extremely informative a. showed us the different areas of the hotel a. how to get about . We met Dan on our travels who takes care of janitorial duties a. kept assisting us when we got lost. Very friendly guy. Breakfast was a lovely experience the restaurant is bright a. welcoming. Jay a. his team especially Jonathan were very attentive a. happy to make a more bespoke breakfast for L.. The food was delivered hot a. well presented. Our massage treatment did not disappoint. Katie was lovely a. took care to check I was comfortable . L. a. I live in Liverpool a. had booked in for a little break for 2 nights. We had an amazing time a. wish to thank you all for an amazing time. Charlotte reception Hannah manager Spa. Callum spa, Dan , Matthew, Jay, Jonathon are absolute legends a. assets to the Municipal Hotel. Thank you so much L. a. Tina

Lovely environment but no extras included

We loved the building, room and palm court and it was well located. I believed that my daughter and I would be able to use the pool but on arrival discovered this was additional £50 pp per day and that my 15 year old would not be able to use the pool anyway. It also seems quite mean not to include any kind of breakfast.
