You can always trust Mercure. Central location, large and comfortable rooms, helpful staff, access to private parking and good breakfast buffet. Only downside was the high price being Lithuania but can be expected given summer and coast.

Generally the hotel is convenient to stay, however there were a few quite disappointing situations, which are affecting the ambition of a 4-star hotel. 1. The elevator button on the 3rd floor was out of order and it was not possible to call for the elevator. Finally I had to walk to another floor, call the elevator from there and go to the 3rd floor. This was very inconvenient on the day of my departure where I was carrying a big and heavy suitcase and could not use the stairs. 2. The towels in the room 318 were in very poor condition and looked rather like rags. Not a 4-star hotel experience for sure! 3. The TV on the 2nd night went on every several minutes, disturbing the possibility to sleep and relax. Finally I had to unplug it from the socket. All three situations have been pointed out during my checkout, all I could hear was "this should not have happened". Appearently the staff knew about the problems but has not properly prepared the place for the guest stay prior to arrival. Overall, I like staying at Accor/Mercure hotels, but some of them (like the one in Klaipeda) is disappointing and definitely below the standard.

After checkout, the hotel contacted me about a missing hair dryer. They said they had found an old hair dryer in the room while theirs was missing, effectively asking whether I had replaced theirs with another one. That was already an uncomfortable way to approach a guest. Soon after, I realized my Gucci cap was missing. It was last worn at the hotel, and I am quite sure it was left in the room. What made the situation especially strange is that the hotel initially acknowledged that the cap had been found, but said they could not offer shipping. When I then arranged to send someone to collect it, I was told it was no longer found. That sequence is very hard to understand. The room had clearly been inspected after I left, the item appeared to have been located, and then it suddenly became unavailable once collection was arranged. I am left with very little confidence in how guest belongings and lost property are handled here. Not the standard I would expect from an Accor hotel.

The first day there was no breakfast buffet, nothing at all, just empty shelves. I was in a hurry and could not wait for something to be prepared. It is now what you expect in this class hotel. Manager informed that there was not sufficient number of clients to prepare breakfast buffet. I was not informed about that in advance, so I could plan morning time accordingly. Also, the second day my room was not tided. Just no one came to do this. And in the shower I saw black hair left from other people.

This was a very pleasant stay. The rooms are modern and very tidy, very happy with the facilities. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, including those in the attached restaurant (City Port), who were equally attentive. The food was very good there. The hotel location is a nine-minute walk from the centre of town (the river), so conveniently situated. The communal areas (e.g., the lobby) may look slightly more dated than the rooms to some, but I didn't mind that. I would return here, it was a very good two-night stay, and they let guests leave luggage during their final day if they are on an evening flight.

I returned to this hotel expecting the same high standards I experienced a year ago (welcome letters, fruit plates, etc.), but the experience has really taken a dive. The Room Discrepancy: I specifically booked a room with a balcony, but the room I was given didn't have one. Instead, I got a bathroom with drainage issues; the sink was partially choked and the bathtub partition leaked so badly that I ended up with a pond on the floor after every shower. The TV Issues: The highlight of the stay was the television, which had developed a mind of its own. It would turn itself back on every single time I switched it off. I lived with this electronic ghost for two days before I finally hit my limit. The Service: When I finally requested a room change, I met two very different types of service. Guoda was a total star—empathetic, helpful, and clearly doing her best. Her colleague, however, offered a solution that was truly uncalled for. When I explained the TV was malfunctioning, she looked at me and said: “But you can just take out the power plug and it’s not a problem.” I consider myself a reasonable guest, but being told to crawl around furniture to manually unplug a faulty appliance is not the "service" I paid for. The Verdict: The second room was much better, but I spent a large portion of my trip in a room I didn't book, dealing with maintenance issues and dismissive staff. It’s a shame, as the quality has clearly slipped since my last visit.

Nice and cosy room! Lobby area is very warm and welcoming, receptionist was very lovely. Rooms and hotel itself was very clean and smelled fresh, everything was very well maintained! Definitely will be back in the future.

Lovely hotel, comfy beds, tasty breakfast. One bed was not made for us on arrival and had to go to reception to advise as over the phone noone picked up (been trying to call several times), but thats not a big deal. Enjoyed our stay. Would definitely come back.

Our stay was the night of October 1. When awarding points, you put them in as if we stayed October 4. We were actually staying in Novotel Vilnius on the 3 and 4 October. The all program will not award points for 2 hotels on the same night so this error has blocked the award of points from the Novotel, the weekend bonus award, plus the 2 nights credit I need to renew my Silver status. I have written to customer care with no response, so this error has become an annoyance and waste of my time.

Mercure have been amazing all the way from the initial emails before we arrived, to welcoming us and looking after us until we left! If you have a new born baby, these people are here to help you! Also, the food here was absolutely delicious. Things like seabass cooked in honey and ginger or plum pie for dessert. The beds are really comfortable and the catering staff are very involved and good at what they do, working around the clock for us. Thank you Mercure <3
