Stayed here a few times, there is no reception but an unresponsive self service screen with an assistant to help me put my name in the hotel system. An entirely pointless process that takes ages, why not have that person just run reception like in most other hotels - it should take less than 60 seconds that way? The rooms are noisy (could hear people getting in and out of the lift, and the lift go up and down) and the airconditioning did not work (went on to full blast and then off every 10 minutes) so asked to be moved to new room at midnight. This was better, although the keycard system was broken so I could not get a key for my new room. The beds in both rooms felt lumpy and old.The night staff was very friendly and helpful - the only reason I didn't put 2/10

I really don't like the 'self check in' as it makes so impersonal. The staff were helpful but my question is why? it is not saving that much for you and is just unnecessary.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel to enjoy a quick Sydney get away before starting work. From check in to check out the Novatel team were great with excellent service, cheerful demeanours and attention to detail even in the busy times. Overall it was a pleasure to stay at the hotel.
