Experience was very much like a budget style hotel but the price was as close as a Sheraton nearby. The reception not co-ordinating with each other across their shifts causing last minute worry and trouble for me. Room had a broken piece in the doors, dusty coffee machine and old expired coffee sachets kept. The room in itself did not have any view, not at all worth the money spent.

The room was quiet although the old cabinetry had hard, sharp edges that can be dangerous. The biggest problem is that there is no restaurant or bar and any hotel claiming four and a half stars has to provide this service. Unfortunately I ordered breakfast, only to be sent to a cafe outside the hotel with a voucher for a bacon and egg roll. I will never stay here again.

Appreciated the upgrade to level 9 room 14 however I believe it was either right next to or right below plant air con unit. Even with the rooms air con turned off it was a very noisy room and made sleep quite difficult.

Loved being able to walk through the beautiful Hyde park even though we were in the city. Close to train, bus and light rail. The shower in the room was amazing - too often hotel rooms have poor shower pressure but this one was brilliant.
