Globally it was altogether an Ibis stay? I wouldn’t qualify this one as a “Style” one considering the location in Porto Vecchio and the room standing that was more a two star hotel than a three star + one. Apart from this Caplan the Reception manager and his team were fabulous and on that point they really exceed and I agree on the fact that I was not in a either Ibis budget or one of these old Ibis Hotel like unfortunately franchise and are very late on their renovation! - My room was great -There were four electric recharging car stations just next to the entrance of the hotel, which was fabulous as I was disable - The entire team and I said this because it’s everyone he couldn’t included the housekeepers when I asked them a few things and everything I’ve been amazing with me; from the minute I arrive at Reception checked and they took care of my luggage which was three bags with extreme attention bring them to my room and as I was exhausted the first night and every night actually they brought me my dinner to my room. - i ate twice a full dinner from the menu of the restaurant. I really appreciate it that I was made the way straight away that they were premade dishes but in a nice restaurant way I’ve been director on my life of five stars Hotel, Palace, I had one 2 Michelin star restaurant and I had one 1 michelin star restaurant…. So you can imagine that sometime and especially with prep food, I can be quite picky. EVERYTHING I HATE THERE AT THE IBIS PORTO VECCIO WAS REALLY GOOD ACTUALLY, I even done one thing that I never do. I went for the breakfast because I had an insomnia and I was feeling hungry.( because of my illness, I am allergic to eggs and so there is not much I can eat on breakfast menu) Well, trust me, I did lots of restaurants and lots of Hotel in my life so many that I love counts but I will remember forever the exceptional breakfast buffet of the Ibis in Porto Vecchio…. Local sourced product, event for the tea the coffee, a pastry Chef that make an amazing super yummy cherry tomato, rosemary olives and thyme cake which make a wonderful option with no egg for me. I have to say that I think I eat the third of the cake all the brides and croissant were super fresh. They were very different special breads with seeds and everything you can imagine local jams butter and juicy infused water on display for the guest well!!! I was gobsmacked and now I understand where is the style of the Hotel? - So together I will say if you want a good hotel with the extremely fabulous breakfast that looks like more like a brunch…. And can wait to finish your breakfast rest and an hour on the bed in the room to digested a bit… I think with maximum 10 minutes of driving by the sea and I’m okay to pay for this and not to have a sea view but a wonderful team to take care of you and my kids to take care of me during my entire stay and some great surprise between this breakfast and the menu of the restaurant and the kindness of every staff member that came with me down to my car and wish me a safe trip back because I think they would see me again! I’ve been really touched by everything you did for me guys You may be in a three star hotel but you all five stars team members!!! Gregoire
