Mercure Ajaccio Hotel 4 stars

The hotel is not well located and does not have the facilities of a 4 star hotel (small room and bathroom, no fridge,..) except the price. The bar of the hotel was closed far before the indicated times and we could not enjoy a birthday drink. When we complained about it to reception desk the only comment was : we do not know the person is not the regular one.. At check out they made a mistake and forgot to charge us parking (12 euros) .They chased us through the hotel to claim the money. This type of customer service is not what you expect in 4 star hotel. We tried to speak to the front desk manager, she refused to grant us free parking as compensation. She even refused to talk to us directly and sent us her assistant. Really poor experience overall. Accord standards have really lowered. We will not come back.

The pool and surrounding terrace were just perfect for a quick dip after a hot day. Good breakfast in the same, very nice surroundings a definite plus. Very nice staff. Stayed a couple of days in June 2021 and got an upgrade! Pays to be a member of Accor's Club. Rooms good: street noise can be a bit loud - rarely have had such a potent mix of noisy motorcycles and hundreds of ambulances...

Great experience at Mercure Ajaccio, the staff is nice, the pool is at a perfect temperature and it’s well located in town. Little minus for the repetitive breakfast even though the food served was good.

The stay was excellent. A very nice welcome and kind attention from the staff. The measures and precautions in context of Covid-19 were excellent, I felt very safe. The room was spacious and comfortable. Looking forward to come back to Mercure Ajaccio !

VERY GOOD, GOOD SERVICE

It was our first visit to Corsica & to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Two days after our arrival, we were caught with the general lockdown. What comforted us through the 3-day lockdown were 1) the Staff 2) the Jacuzzi & the heated Pool 3) its location by the port. We really felt welcomed given that our room was upgraded & the quality of service offered by the Staff. A special Thank You to Natacha who had gone the extra mile in helping us with her suggestions for food. We will definitely come back for another visit & hopefully with a few friends. A bientôt!

stayed one night to get an early morning flight used the pool and the guy was very nice the receptionist were very lovely - tried to even find me a comb as i lost mine

This hotel has a very kind and helpful stuff. Very clean and has good breakfast. the hotel is rated 4 stars according to the size of the room it should be not more than 2 stars. The size of the room was so small that it was hard to move in it With 2 suitcases. the safe was so small that it was imposible to enter a porfolio with documents. No refrigrator in the room and the bath room floor is so slipery that I skided fell and knocked my head in the wall, there was not a handle to hold for safety. No restaurants in less than 500 meters from the hotel. It deinitly dosn't meet Mercure brand.

Good location,great rooftop view, room a little small but very clean. Could not get the room temperature right so had difficulty sleeping. Elevator is small and very slow. Very nice staff at front desk.

Overpriced for what it is, this hotel lacks charm. Separated from the port by a busy road and a railway line, the photos on the website aren't an accurate representation. I had an expensive superior room, which at nearly 400 euros without breakfast or parking was too much. To be fair, the staff on the check in desk were lovely, absolutely charming, but the hotel itself doesn't deserve such good people, especially its tatty roof terrace.
