Entered having high expectations for this world class property. Was expecting more personalization, greeting upon arrival, and a better room. Other people in my group had more updated guest rooms, and mine was not.

The hotel is old and it’s clearly seen at the lobby. The carpets the sofas etc. The higiene package in the rooms was clearly poor and not to the standards of a 5 stars hotel.

We had a great stay at the Fairmont Geneva. We had two rooms and rather than an interior connecting door, there was a main door and ante room, which was perfect for our family and dog. We enjoyed the indoor pool, which was well managed by staff, with reservations keeping the number of people using the pool at the same time low. I enjoyed the spa experience as well. The room service was fabulous and didn’t take more than 30 minutes to arrive. Hotel location was great, and all staff were very professional and courteous.

Our experience at Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva was wonderful. We stayed in Geneva for 5 days and found a second home at the Fairmont. The hotel has a perfect location for both visiting the city and exploring the countryside. The pool was a perfect spot at night to relax and the restaurant was an incredible place where to enjoy unique recipes from talented chefs and be inspired by a beautiful view. Very cozy room and well organized. All the staff in the hotel was extremely kind, professional and warm. Looking forward to come back in August. We were traveling for both business and family time. Thank you so much.

Great staycation in the heart of Geneva

Spent the weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday- visited with our 3 kids. The connecting room setup was fantastic, the front desk was very friendly and accommodating and setup the room specially for my wife with balloons, etc and homemade cake that she really loved! The indoor pool area is very nice and one of the reasons we chose the hotel. The area is perfect and you can walk to most anywhere in Geneva .

Nice hotel, nice location but for the amount of money we spent, and the service we received, it was not a five star experience.

First of all, I am delighted to note your high ratings of your check-in and check-out processes, of your Room amenities and comfort, and finally of the Hotel's reinforced cleanliness & hygiene measures. On the other hand, I must admit that I am very upset to read your observations with regard to your poor F&B experiences, be it at the breakfast table or in our other outlets, notably in terms of service, quality, choice and value for money. Please accept my sincere apologies for the undue disappointment caused you in the various respects. Needless to add that I will share your comments with my Director of F&B and Executive Chef, so that immediate remedial actions may be taken. Disappointing

Good location, nice rooms and friendly staff but price/value very bad. Dinner reservation did not work even though confirmed prior when booking the room. We ended up eating at the bar (Pizza Margharita CHF 36!), definitely not worth the money. The staff at breakfast the next morning was hopelessly overwhelmed by the number of guest and given the COVID-19 restrictions. Had to wait 30 minutes in front of the restaurant before a table was finally cleared and given to us even though many tables inside the restaurant were available but it took the staff at least 20 minutes to clean up. Management should have anticipated the staffing knowing that the hotel is fully booked. Obviously things are different due to the pandemic but given the five star rating of the hotel we nevertheless expected a much better service and left quite dissatisfied.

Dear Mister B., I was very concerned to learn that, on this occasion, we failed to deliver our normal high standards of service, professionalism and hospitality. Please accept my sincere apologies and needless to say that your observations will be shared and discussed with my Operational Department Heads in order for appropriate corrective actions to be taken. In order to prove to you that we can definitely rise to your expectations, could I kindly suggest that you contact me directly when you next plan to visit Geneva, so I can personally ensure that your second experience be very enjoyable and memorable one, with a great dinner in one of our restaurants, as should have been the case this time. Love the hotel, but ridiculous rise in room service prices

I would use the hotel only occasionally unless the food prices are reviewed. My team and I will most probably start looking elsewhere. Continental breakfast (viennoiseries juice and coffee) from CHF 18 a few months ago jumped to CHF 40???? 2.2 times... If you want guests do not expect them to pay for running costs of all empty room by overcharging their coffee. Burger for CHF55 ??? This is not normal, sickening actually
