The room was not worth the $350.00 I paid for it The Mercure Mackay is 1000% a far better hotel and only 1/2 the price , I will not be using the Mercure Rockhampton ever again

The room was a typical motel style plus a Riverview. Bathroom is old with shower over bath, unsafe for us seniors.The one lift is inadequate, Pool needs painting. Breakfast was appalling,No eggs left at 7.50am, 6 small dry bacon bits and 6 bits of tomato, there were plenty of mushrooms and mini sausage. The poor waitress said she would ask for more but by the time scrambled eggs arrived we were walking out. Duty manager eventually offered $20 refund for 1 of our 2 breakfasts.

Platinum Accor Plus member travelling last minute for business (business owner). Was able to book a room directly at hotel after availability not showing on All app. Room rate (for a standard Queen Room) was $380 per night for a 2 night stay (totalling ~$760). I was later told this was discounted from ~$390 a night (2.5% discount) This was not a high demand period for Rockhampton and comparable 4 star multi-rise hotels were in a $190-$220 range when I checked online. Also very disappointed the Platinum member benefits were not provided on check in (no welcome pack in room, welcome drink vouchers, and had to request complimentary breakfast vouchers after check in). The oversight just was more annoying given the very high price already charged. Staff are always friendly at venue, and restaurant is great, but just really dissatisfied with this experience.
