Positive Points: - Great CBD location in Perth - Diamond status earned a room upgrade without even asking - In-room Nespresso machine - Excellent service from Jacqueline at reception - Novotel in good overall condition Areas Needing Improvement: 1. Valet Service Disappointing encounter with reluctant concierge/valet on Sunday evening. Manager had to step in to unload car. Unacceptable service lapse. 2. Room Privacy Shocked when staff entered room without knocking. Serious breach of privacy. Hotel must reinforce guest privacy protocols. 3. Housekeeping Standards Subpar cleanliness and attention to detail. Poorly made bed, no coffee refill, no vacuuming. Unacceptable lapses reflecting poorly on hotel standards. 4. Restaurant Availability Inconvenient restaurant closure on Sunday and Monday. Disappointing for guests expecting full service. 5. Water Provision Complimentary bottled water preferred over tap water recommendation. Glass bottles suggested as eco-friendly alternative. 6. Staff Training and Motivation Many employees lack proper hospitality training, experience, and motivation. Comprehensive training and fostering service excellence crucial. 7. Communication and Transparency No response to request for General Manager's name. Concerning lack of transparency and fear of guest feedback. In summary, while the Novotel Perth has some positives, the numerous service deficiencies experienced are unacceptable. Swift action is needed to address shortcomings in valet service, housekeeping, restaurant availability, staff training, and communication. The hotel must prioritise guest satisfaction and demonstrate a genuine commitment to improvement to regain trust and loyalty. Failure to do so risks further dissatisfaction and reputational damage.

Everything in order. Bed very comfortable. The limited coffee and tea and empty minibar were a little disappointing. Staff very friendly.

Room was a good size. Work desk was a tad small but close to a power point. Issue with the blind out of it's track which I fixed. Bed was great with nice selection of pillows. Shower grate/drain was blocked on the last day causing overflow into the bathroom. Need more people on the desks Friday morning for mass check outs. Water taps in the foyer to refill bottles is a great idea and used daily.
