Raffles Bali bintang 5

We have been to Bali numerous times and stayed at different resorts in different locations at different price points. Raffles Bali is probably considered in the high- end category with Bulgari Bali and Aman resorts in that category. For context, we'd stayed in Bulgari Bali in 2022 and Amandari some time back. We also travel very frequently and have stayed at numerous luxury hotels (eg: We'd already stayed at Amanpuri and St Regis BKK, Capella BKK, Four season Langkawi, Cape Fahn Koh Samui in the past 3 months or so). TLDR: I know what I am talking about. Great things: For the price we are paying, we do expect great service/ everything. The villa did not disappoint. It was new, clean and gorgeous. The house-keeping team was excellent. Whatever requests we have, eg: extra tissues or towels, they delivered promptly and remember. They remember to top up bath salts etc too. Disappointing items: 1.) Food was terrible. Bali is a land of great cafes and delicious food. I don't know why but whatever we'd ordered from the restaurant was just bad. The Heritage pig item was supposed to be "slow-cooked"pork but was so tough, it was impossible to bite, not to mention chew. We had dinner at the restaurant by the main pool too and it was really terrible tasting too. Portions were small, expensive and just bad-tasting. I had to order supper via Grab after spending about 2-3 million IDR at the restaurant. 2.) We were not informed of breakfast timings although the staff who took us on a tour insisted. So yes, benefit of doubt, perhaps we didn't hear it. It's our fault for not asking and assuming too. We'd assumed breakfast will be till late. Most resorts in Bali we have stayed in, they allow breakfast till late. In fact, we were staying at La Reserve in Canngu before coming to Raffles Bali and at less than 1/3 the price, they serve FANTASTIC breakfast till 5pm. We slept deeply till noon before having a great breakfast before chilling by the pool everyday. We then had lunch at 4-5pm followed by dinner at 9pm. Unfortunately, Raffles Bali only serve breakfast till 10am. Okay, so... we accepted it as the hotel's policy. However, we weren't aware on the first morning we woke up. Upon checking with our butler Pinky, we were told that they can serve all day breakfast to our villa for an additional 400K IDR per pax. We shared that we'd assumed they will serve bfast till late and hope they can serve us breakfast today because we did not know about the timing. And we will respect the hotel's 10am breakfast policy the next day. But they can't. We had to ask to see a manager. This is a hotel that we are paying 23 million IDR per night. But, they couldn't serve us some eggs and toast, perhaps some pancakes at the restaurant or our villa. This went on for awhile, mind you. It took about an hour or so before the manager said they will send us breakfast. I proceeded to over-order on Grab about 1.5 million of food because we were SO hungry by then AND the breakfast they served was so bad. Back to point #1 about how their food is just terrible. Conclusion: It's a shame because the resort and villa is so beautiful and nice. We hope the service can be improved, better training for staff so that we can head back to this resort one day again.

My wife and I have just returned from a five night stay at Raffles Bali as part of our honeymoon and it was truly beyond our wildest dreams. We stayed in an Ocean Pool Villa, one of 32 private residences, in what is an absolutely stunning resort. Whether it was dinner in a Secret Cave, sumptuous, delicious breakfasts with world class service, stunning scenery and views (both forest and seafront), the attention to detail was breathtaking. The villa itself was so beautiful with a touch of class in every corner. The huge bedroom, walk-in wardrobe area, elegant bathroom, private pool and gardens (with outdoor shower, sheltered daybed, dining table and more) were all immaculately presented. Star of the show was our Wellbeing Butler Rai Sampalan who tended to our every need often before we had even thought of it. We can't thank him enough. There is so much more but to do it justice you just need to go and see for yourself.

In my opinion this is the best resort in Bali, excellent services, and also nice restaurant. I tried Rumari and loloan at raffles, it was fantastic experience, and the genuine smile from the people at raffles is the best. I definitely will always want to return here when I’m in Bali.

Tremendous experience, special recognition given to my butler Aditya as well as Livia. Dinner at the Secret Cave and Purnama Bale are incredible. Treatment at the Sanctuary is also fantastic. Will highly recommend everyone.

Raffles in Jimbaran bay is Bali's best kept secret. The attention to detail in each villa is next level, from the egg timer next to the mindfulness book to make it easy to take 5 mins for mindfulness, to the extensive bathroom amenities and mini bar fit for a king but also stacked with unique wellbeing elixirs that are packed with health and goodness! Rumari, the contemporary style restaurant is exquisite and the dining is an experience that takes you through Indonesia's cuisine made with local produce, bursting with flavours and crafted to the highest of levels. It is a culinary journey that needs to be experienced, to indulge in the magic of not only the food, but combined with the stunning setting overlooking the ocean and the magnificent Indonesian service oozing with warmth, attentiveness and friendliness , Raffles was extraordinary in everyway and Jimbaran Bay has a much slower, relaxed vibe than the suburbs north of Kuta and only a quick 20min drive from the Airport and close to beautiful Uluwatu too!
