Our experience was lovely! The hotel was super clean, our rooms were very comfortable and everyday we were satisfied with how Rio cleaned our rooms. The only disappointment was that our balcony door lock was broken so we couldn’t go out on our balcony but it was probably too hot anyway and we were able to use our other families next door. The staff members were so friendly and welcoming at Novotel. The spa was also super relaxing and the staff there were also very kind and made us feel comfortable for people who have never had a massage before! Definitely recommend staying here, the atmosphere and location was excellent!!

Stunning hotel, perfect location and lovely staff. My partner and I booked to stay at the Novotel Benoa in Bali for my 50th birthday. We opted for the beach side rooms, close to the restaurant and on the beach. On arrival the staff were super friendly, our room was stunning. A cute little villa with a free standing bath. Huge comfortable bed - all we needed and the aircon was ice cold. We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was amazing, fresh and always something different along with the usual continental and cooked breakfast options but we had fun experimenting with the traditional Bali breakfast items too! The pool at this hotel is just beautiful, infinity and overlooking the sea. We tried yoga and stretching classes by a pool a few times and it was great! We also ate at the beach restaurant a fair few time but I’d say the prices are high, especially for alcohol. We found buying alcohol from the super market and having a drink in our rooms more reasonable. We also took advantage of the free 15minute treatment and massage class with was fun. I’d highly recommend this hotel for its location on the beach and just slightly outside the hustle and bustle of nusa dua which is a short cab ride (£3) away for shopping and dinner.

A Relaxing Stay at Novotel Bali Benoa. Great Location The Novotel Benoa is in a great location and only about 15 minutes by car to Nusa Dua. It was the perfect base for a relaxing Bali break without feeling too far from anything. It offered beachfront watersports activities such as paragliding, inflatable flying wave riders, and canoes. They had about a dozen bicycles situated inside the front gate, which we assume can be borrowed. When you walk out of the hotel onto the street, there are numerous money changers, bars, liquor stores, pharmacies, massage parlours, convenience stores, restaurants and food stalls. There is a complimentary bus service, the Bali Connection shuttle, that stops outside the hotel's front lobby and takes you to the Bali Connection shopping precinct. This is within the Nusa Dua gated hotels, holiday apartments and resorts district, which spans many hectares. It's about a 15-minute journey, and the complimentary bus was scheduled to run about every 1-2 hours. The shopping precinct, with numerous shops selling local handicrafts, international sportswear brands, and all types of restaurants serving western, various Asian, and regional cuisines, is situated in a parklike setting with no vehicles. Traditional Balinese Style The Novotel Benoa has lovely traditional Balinese buildings on its beachfront property. We stayed in spacious single-storey Balinese-style accommodation with access through its front courtyard garden. The main buildings, consistent with their Balinese heritage, were constructed of large timber posts, beams, and rafters, with very high ridges supporting the traditional thatched roofs. These main buildings were set in beautifully maintained tropical gardens, with manicured lawns bounded by garden beds filled with lush green shrubs, colourful flowers, and many large tropical trees. Some ongoing maintenance and sympathetic redecorating were evident but not intrusive. Scattered through the gardens were the traditional accommodation buildings, some stand-alone bungalows, and others conjoined. Beautiful Pools & Beachfront The main pool at the front of the property was attractive and well-maintained, overlooking the beach. At around 30 metres long, it was ideal for those who, like my husband, enjoy swimming laps, or for those who wish to relax in deckchairs both in and around the pool. Our room was less than a 30-second walk from both the pool and main dining area, which we loved. There were plenty of shaded deck chairs and beachfront umbrellas, so it was easy to find a peaceful spot to settle in, either beside the pool and beach bar or along the beach. The gym was situated immediately opposite our accommodation. Although the gym was basic, it was open 24 hours and had everything we needed in a clean, well-maintained environment. More recently developed complex and additional Pools We also explored the newer section of the hotel across the road. The buildings' architecture was more modern and conventional in its construction than the traditional Balinese buildings on the beach side of the road. There were several three-level blocks with ground-floor rooms opening onto small courtyard spaces by the pools, and upstairs rooms with balconies overlooking them. There were two pools in this area: a general pool and a kids' pool. Breakfast & Dining Breakfast was included in our package, and we ate well each day, good-quality food with slight menu variations that kept things interesting. The omelette chef was absolutely first class, and the dining room staff were attentive and consistently courteous. Warm & Professional Service The front-of-house team were informative, friendly, professional, and always happy to help. Our flight did not depart until 10.50pm. Having learned of this, they extended our checkout from 12 to 2pm. It really added to the overall experience. Spa & Massages We enjoyed hair masks and head massages, but the highlight was the full-body massage by the skilled Weri and Watini. We honestly didn’t want the massages to end, they were that good. Photography Package Our package included a photography session and one complimentary framed photo. We loved the results so much that we upgraded to the second-tier package (IDR 8,000,000), which included 20 edited digital images. The photographer took the time to go through around 50 photos with us so we could choose carefully: great value and a lovely keepsake of the trip. Final Thoughts We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Novotel Benoa. The efficient airport pickup, the friendly staff, the beautiful Balinese architecture and gardens, the attractive pool areas, and relaxing massages all contributed to a memorable holiday.
