Every member of staff I interacted with were friendly, helpful yet professional. My room was perfect and my request to have a room near the lift was granted. There are no negative comments for me to make, my stay was perfection.

The check in at reception was quick and painless. The room was very warm though and only way of cooling it down was to open the window. However you could not sleep with it open due to noise from outside. The bathroom was ok. Unfortunately on the first morning, the fire alarm went off constantly due to a false alarm, and that meant when I arrived in the breakfast room the food was pretty non existent. The toaster was not working (was this the thing that set off the fire alarm?) the hot food was well not hot and in fact was not much. One hash brown, a tiny bit of bacon and the dregs of baked beans. The orange juice tasted of water. All in all not great. And no staff around at all. The next day was a bit better in the breakfast bar as there appeared to be a member of staff and the toaster was working. However the charge for what is offered is not great. At least there was more on offer this time.

Staying at the Ibis Sutton was a wonderful experience from start to end. Every staff member I came across was friendly, helpful and genuine. The rooms are clean, the restaurant food is actually really enjoyable and the overall cost of staying here is extremely affordable. I was honestly surprised at the quality of the hotel considering how well priced it is. The location is perfect : around the corner from the station and across the road from the main shopping street. I would definitely stay here again and thank all the staff for a truly memorable stay.

Arrived Sunday for a 3 night stay, having requested 2 courses for £15 offer for the first night. Reception had not heard of this offer but agreed to honour it. Went to restaurant to be told by very off hand barman/waiter/cook that he had very little food as the delivery that morning had not materialised. I asked for a pizza which he could do, though he said they were better in the town. It actually was okay. Next night, I went back. Same guy but in a very bad mood. The delivery had come so I could have a curry, which was not too bad. After I got home I received an email to say that the 2 course dinner offer was not available at Sutton Ibis. As there were Pod Point chargers attached to walls of the underground parking garage, I thought I would charge my EV before travelling home. They started the charge but after 15 minutes they needed to have confirmation on the app. I spent 2 hours trying to to find the charger on the app. The receptionists were very helpful but we concluded that as Ibis rented the parking spaces, the chargers were “private” and not available to the public.
