The experiences was good when we arrived but unfortunately we could not stay as my son was taken extremely ill. The receptionist did say he would speak to the reservation team as we had only just arrived but we never heard anything.

We arrived and the room that we were given smelt very strongly of cigarettes (ashtray) we both felt that it would make staying in the room uncomfortable so asked to have a different room. We then discovered that the new room we had been given was occupied so went back to the desk to ask for yet another room. We had booked a privilege room but there were no more available which meant having a regular room. I had no issue with this and hopefully we should be receiving the difference in price very soon. The third room we were given had no issue apart from being very small, crowded and dark. When I had a shower the shower tray started to overflow as it wasn't draining quickly enough. Whatever coating was on the wall tiles was peeling off and there was no plug in the sink. It all felt very dreary. The breakfast wasn't great. Despite all of this we found that the staff we were dealing with were very good at sorting us out. I just felt that for the price I paid for the night £180 (ish) the quality of everything was not up to the price. I would not stay here again. I hope that we get the refund for the difference in price very soon as I don't want the hassle of having to fight for this on top of everything else.

Shock on entering the room to see that here was no wardrobe or cupboards. The room cost over £160 per night and was not worth the money. Hotel is desperate need of attention.

This hotel is well located when I visit Nottingham, but since the Covid restrictions the price has increased considerably. The Privege room was fine, the fridge was stocked with 2 bottles of water and 2 cans of Coke included in the price. The capsule coffee was also good, just a shame there were no biscuits.

OK, but on my first visit the table lamp was broken, room 270. This was an issue as I needed to work at the desk, after 2 days a replacement was brought. This week I stayed in the room opposite 269, the lamp was missing, could it be in the room I had last week.

The hotel itself was very average and unremarkable in terms of the public areas, the leisure club and our room. We also felt our room was very expensive what it was - over £200 for a king-size bed and a sofa bed. What saved the hotel from being a rather mediocre experience were the fabulous members of staff - particularly those on reception. They were cheerful, friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. Top marks, guys!

This was not as one would expect for a 4 star hotel. The restaurant was diabolically slow, it took between half to one hour between meals before you got your next course and there were very few guests in the dining room, so it should have been a lot quicker, the brussels were hard even after we complained they were still hard the following day. There was very little on the menu with no specials on the list either. The hotel cleaners were not good at their job, leaving the bedroom without all the usual items that should be restocked regularly. On one occasion we had to ask for about six different items missing, plus a bath towel. They took all the bedroom phones out, so in an emergency you could not call down to security for help, (You could not use a mobile as it would not get you to the hotel security only to central reservations which would be no good to us in an emergency).At one stage we nearly called 999 on our mobile as we were so worried about a fight in the corridor in the early hours of the morning. We had our grandchildren with us so we were extremely worried.

We have stayed at this hotel three times in the past four years. This is the first time we have included breakfast at £12 per person. It was dreadful at 8.45am. Very poor quality cooked food presented in dishes under heat lamps. We will not be having breakfast here again. Also the hotel was being used as a court for employment tribunals and very busy Maybe time to try another hotel

Not too bad of a stay...reception were great, bar staff seemed a little inexperienced and a little slow...wait 15 minutes for my bill. Room was comfy and spacious, although some banging pipes from somewhere in the building went on throughout the night....maybe due to being situated near the pool/gym?? I'm unsure!! Overall things were ok!! I would stay again due to location, so let's hope my next stay i can improve my scores for this review.

We think you should have made guests aware the hotel was bring used as a court. It was disconcerting to arrive to numerous security staff stood around and 2 metal detectors. We also felt sure the hotel was housing asylum seekers and again felt this should have been shared with guests in advance. Not great when you have to sit and wait for a member of staff to open the access door to the leisure facilities Why not issue a fob for the duration of your stay?

Lovely stay at the hotel, friendly staff who were very attentive. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Issue with swimming pool which meant we wasn't able to use it during our 3 day stay which was disappointing but the hotel manager was happy to refund part of the room (still not received as yet though).

The kettle in my room was filthy, when i asked for a replacement i was told one would be dropped off by housekeeping in the morning, this didnt happen. There was some sort of knocking sound that would re-occur every 15-20 minutes for brief periods that didnt seem to have a regular pattern or rhythm to it. This meant i had very little sleep. On a morning when I turned on the shower it would run briefly briefly then stop for 30-40 seconds before the water resumed. no amount of tap turning would change this. The worst bit was when i went to checkout i was told that the dinner i had on the Friday night in the restaurant was charged as room service, and so did not count for the 2 course meal I had paid in advance for. Despite my attempts to explain to the receptionist that i had the dinner in the restaurant, she clearly didnt comprehend what i was telling her and the supervisor was nowhere to be seen. A queue had formed at this point so i paid and left extremely dissatisfied.

Nice hotel room. No restaurant staff at 7pm so I couldn’t get a meal, desk manager only member of staff available so he was very busy, slow draining shower, no plug for the sink.
