Swimming Pool closed :(

Booked the hotel specifically as it had a swimming pool as many others didn't and to arrive only to be told not available due to an issue with the pool floor is very poor. My 11 year son was gutted and really disappointed. Its one thing a pool having a problem the day before or day of arrival I could accept that (as its unexpected and uncontrollable) but the pool has been out of action for several days and would have expected to be informed before I arrived that the amenities I believed would be available at the time of booking (and as advertised) are no longer available - I would have cancelled (or had the option to) as they could no longer provide the service they advertised. Instead they chose to keep quiet and take the money and spoil a 11year old couple of days break. Very poor. Even now you are still taking bookings for telford falselsy advertising a swimming pool amenity which you know won't be available until 4th September (as per your own sign in the hotel reception ! )

Great Hotel and staff

Stayed here for business. The staff in the hotel bar, particularly Amy and Lu, were really friendly and attentive.The hotel rooms are well appointed and the beds are so comfortable. There is also a good amount of parking and close to all road networks. Amazing place and staff. Would recommend 👌

Not family friendly - bad communications, customer service, hospitality and courtesy

I booked 2 rooms for us as a family few weeks in advance, and I requested to have have them interconnected, adjacent to close to each other as the room is for the children to stay in, and to add a bed for child in each room. I requested this over a message when I made the booking as well as I followed by a phone call. I was assured that my request will be dealt with on the day, over email in reply as as over the phone. At the day we were checking in, I phoned up in the morning to check on the status, I found out that and informed only at the day of checking in, that the 2 rooms I booked were from different types, one is double and twins , A) they can't be close because are in the a different wing but in the same floor, B) Can't add additional bed in the twins room. When I requested to change the type of the room, for me doesn't matter to stick to one double and one twins, I requested the 2 to be the same type to be next to each other , be it 2 twins or 2 double, as it doesn't matter its more important be close to look after the children. But the response was the hotel is fully booked and this is not possible. When I arrive at the hotel , the lady at the reception after I explained the situation, repeated the some response , as the her colleague over the phone with the same attitude of how I didn't know the 2 rooms of the different types can't be next to each other. They didn't try or attempt to think or help. Met me all with absolute coldness, to take it or leave it I wasn't expecting this. Why the hotel didn't inform to attempt to contact when they found out they can't meet the request, or from the beginning since I made the stupid choice! and left it until I arrive. Why they didn't attempt to be creative and resolve this ! Just bad communications, bad customer service and hospitality!

Melissa the receptionist is excellent with customer service

The welcome is fabulous by Melissa at Reception she is very helpful and has excellent customer service skills Very informative and thorough We are delighted to be staying int his hotel Friendly service with a smile always works after a long journey to get to hotel Melissa deserves to be recognised and she is an amazing friendly staff and has thoroughly helped us on arrival with a warm welcome and great customer service Thank you We definately recommend this hotel for facilities and customer service

So disappointed in our stay at the weekend, arrived on Sunday afternoon allocated a room by pool area on the bottom floor, thick black mould behind the curtains, stains in the wall, asked to move rooms, moved us to an okish room but at least no mould to be breathing into our lungs through the nights stay, went to the pool area needs to be condemned health & safety would have a field day in there, huge carved out hole in the wall by the jacuzzi with an dodgy looking industrial fan half sticking out nearly tripping u up as you walk by it, the jacuzzi was way over chlorine in there PH would dissolve u in an hour sitting in it if stayed in, burnt both our eyes for hours after when back in our room, we put it too the gym attendant guy but didn’t look the least but bothered just shrugged his shoulders, breakfast was ok that’s about it, won’t be going back
