Close enough to the M1 for an overnight on a long journey North or South. However you cannot hear the traffic & enjoy its relaxed atmosphere. An interesting menu with ample selection to tease your selection & a comprehensive drinks offering to accompany your meal.

It was a beautiful hotel made even prettier by the abundance of snow that fell. Staff were very welcoming and we loved the whole dog menu thing it made us feel very comfortable having our pooch with us and thought the dog welcome gift was a lovely touch. Would defo stay again and have recommended it already to several people. The only minus points would be that my good on the 2nd night was not great, I ate from the street food menu and wouldn’t choose that option again but the burgers were amazing and my husband said the fish and chips was delicious.

I have stayed at your hotel multiple times, as our HQ is local and I travel from Berkshire. On this occasion, I had booked a two-night stay. Unfortunately, I had a family emergency as my dad had a fall, and I had to return home to address the situation. This occurred around lunchtime, and I didn’t realize at the time that cancellations needed to be made before 2:00 PM. I called the hotel as soon as I was able to explain the situation and inform you that I would not be staying that evening. I asked if anything could be done under the circumstances, but your systems were down at the time. I was reassured that I would be called back, which I was. However, I was told that because the cancellation was after 2:00 PM, I would still have to pay, even though I was still staying the following night. I explained the situation again, but no flexibility was shown. While I understand that cancellation fees are in place to discourage no-shows, I had hoped that some understanding of my emergency could have been taken into account, given the circumstances but they were not.
