Enjoyable stay across from Petra

The hotel location is right at the entrance to Petra. The people are friendly and the hotel is very nice. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly. We had a delicious breakfast buffet with loads of choices. Amani served us omelettes and was a joy to talk to. The chocolate happy hour is in the atrium daily from 4-5. We enjoyed a drink in the bar and one of the bar staff Ziad was funny, friendly and very attentive. We would highly recommend.

It’s all about the food and service

The Movenpick is a lovely hotel right across the street from the Petra visitors center. The location could not have been more perfect given that you will walk anywhere between 5 and 8 miles to get to the historic Treasury building and the monastery. The room was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were very cordial and polite. The real standout to this hotel, aside from location, is its Mediterranean restaurant, Al Iwan. This restaurant is outstanding because of two factors; Chef Mohammed, who produced outstanding dishes that were fresh and flavorful, and Mary Ann G. whose service, and graciousness was second to none. The stay at the Movenpick was a great choice by our tour company, and you will relish the food and service at Al-Irwin.
