We spent a full week in Jordan, covering the highlights, and our favorite hotel, hands-down, was Movenpick Resort Petra. The room was beautiful, immaculate and very comfortable. The public spaces, including the central atrium and rooftop bar and restaurant in particular, were stunning. We took many pictures of the resort and really enjoyed the sunset view from the rooftop.
Every member of the staff we encountered was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable and pleasant. I really cannot say enough about them. They were all very interested in speaking with us and always had a smile on their faces. To my very pleasant surprise, one of the staff members who assisted us with the breakfast buffet even remembered my name from the evening before when we had visited the lounge.
While we did not have the chance to patronize all of the restaurants on property, the breakfast buffet was amazing, with everything that you might want. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Petra. You won't be disappointed!

we had an incredible stay. Chosen because of its location right next to the entrance to Petra, we were blown away by the helpfulness, kindness and high service level of the entire staff. We could not have wished for a better stay, where we felt welcome from the first minute of stepping out of the car. Finding the hotel, by car from the airport, was easy - and is has its own private parking area, so that was very easy too. The room was spacious and clean and Waleed, our room attendant/conscierge was very helpfull.
The Mediterranean restaurant was not open during our visit, as it was not high season yet, but the roof top restaurant, the bar/bar restaurant and the Buffet restaurant was all open, and well frequented. We tried the Bar restaurant and rooftop restaurant, and both delivers perfectly for ones needs, and the roof top terrace superbly so, with amazing Mezze and perfectly cooked steaks. We stayed at Movenpick Petra for 2 days in September 2026. It was so perfectly situated for our visit there, being across the road to the Petra Visitor Centre and museum. The staff were exceptional, rooms were spacious and comfortable and food exceptional. Overall, we couldn't have had a better stay.
