This hotel is not worth the money they charge. It has its positives (good facilities, cleanliness, comfortable bed) but it lets itself down on the basics. They give you one towel and one bottle of water per day. When you request more, the wait is inevitably a long one. The iron and hair dryer provided in the room are ancient with the iron fixed to an equally old ironing board. This means it connects to a single mid-level socket in the room which is located above the desk.

Tenth time at your hotel. Tenth time everything was nearly perfect. Staff are friendly and efficient. Facilities are in great shape. The food is always very good. The buffet lunch is varied and tasty (if you keep offering those desserts I will end up weighing 100 kg.). Even the bar food is excellent. Only quibble is the conference room set up (which was quickly fixed). I have been there ten times and in that very room probably five times. It might be good to write down what I require (white board, table for me in front, coffee machine, markers). The area outside the conference room was also VERY noisy. The door was extremely slow in shutting, but at least once it closed, it was a good sound insulator. Overall, this is probably my favorite hotel for running classes (I travel 10 to 15 times a year and teach in as many different hotels including some Movenpicks in Dubai).

The Mövenpick is an oasis in the middle of Accra. Friendly staff, nice rooms, lovely pool. I had some minor niggles during my stay: the music in the bar was intrusive, no place for a quiet drink; I paid for the room on check-in but then when I ordered at the bar and room service I was told that my tab was closed, had to argue with both and then reception to get that fixed; despite turning the air conditioning off the room still sounded like you were sitting in an aircraft; no fluffy dressing gown! But these were minor niggles and I'll be staying there next time I'm in Accra, and you can't get a better compliment.
