Overnight and rush with the UNHAS/WFP Humanitarian flight, therefore, not able to enjoy much. The breakfast was enjoyable though, sorry I had to rush and not able to truly have a good breakfast.

I have stayed in the Movenpick in Accra a few times now and it has proven to be a great experience every time. It is based right in the middle of Accra so is a good base for getting around. I have stayed there for business and it is perfect for that. Internet is very fast, there is a nice desk in the room to do work and it is very clean. The breakfast buffet is top of the range with plenty of choice and the staff especially are so nice and friendly and do an exceptional job. There is also a lovely bar and lobby area to relax in the evenings.

In general all good, friendly staff, good rooms, well maintained hotel. A few snags: I had requested the shuttle service upon arrival (and even confirmed on the day of my arrival with a response that all was in order), but there was nobody waiting for my upon arrival at the airport. One of the resps from another hotel kindly called for me to tell the hotel that I was waiting. This was a prepaid stay, part;ly paid with my points. The hotel's system did not show the points. Although my reservation confirmation stated that I did not have to pay anything at the hotel, it seems that the remaining amount had not been charged to my credit card (yet), so that there was still an amount to pay. The reception staff resolved this all in a kind and understanding manner (and it was not their fault at all of course), but I did not expect to spend quite a bit of time dealing with admin. It was also good that I had the documentation with me.

Was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a welcome lounge at the Kotoka International airport. From the minute I set foot in the lounge knew my time in Accra would be great! Uninterrupted wifi from lounge to shuttle bus all the way to the hotel was a big plus for me. The check in staff was extremely patient and kind ensuring I got a room on the floor of my choice. The lounge on the executive floor was great had previously experienced this at the Double Tree in Guanghzou so it was great to see this in West Africa!

Ive stayed at the movenpick before but this time around was just the worst. From the shuttle not showing up to fetch us from the airport. When i checked in i was told by reception that i didnt need to pay a deposit...then i ordered room service and was told that there was no way i could without the deposit. then i paid the deposit but it took days before it refelected on my bill. on checkout it took reception over an hour to gve me a receipt ...while waiting for this i thought i could go eat breakfast which opens at 06;30 bbut by 6;45 the breakfast hall had not opened
