Magicurious TripAdvisor review

The room needs updating. Has tea and coffee making facilities. Has a big spacious bathroom with an excellent shower! Large balcony which was a nice bonus. The entertainment at night only lasted 30 minutes and then there wasn’t much to do after that. Entertainment people very friendly, especially Muhammad, who was an absolute joy and so happy! The food was absolutely delicious and plenty choice. Including very large prawns, lots of chicken dishes, plenty potatoes and chips, big salad bar as well. The dining room is very dismal and just looks like a conference room with blue carpets which don’t look appealing. All showing signs of wear, needs a big update! But can not say enough about the food being delicious. Once you leave the hotel, there’s not many places to walk, just a downtown with a few samey samey shops. But please be aware that each shopkeeper gets you in and makes you sit down to talk for ages and show you there products. (Reluctant to let you leave). The grounds are OK and well kept. Little lights which make it look appealing and nice. The beach was very quiet, hardly anybody there’, always got sunloungers in January. BEWARE of the sellers walking past (make sure you have a paddle saying do no disturb). We didn’t know where to get these though so we were spoken to a lot by different people selling there things and trips. Breakfast was always the same but very tasty. LOVED the healthy shots, very tasty! Fresh omelettes and porridge. Loads of breads, best selection of cakes only in a morning though! Carrot cake was amazing. We didn’t go to the other restaurants because the buffet was good enough. Overall, a nice getaway. But definitely not a 5 star hotel, at most a 4.

Nice experience, but not a 5 star hotel

We had a nice time, people were lovely and professional. Pool was heated which was nice in January. The seafood restaurant, Egyptian buffet, and Italian buffet were nice, but served mostly the same food everyday. Hotel transfer also worked well, driver was friendly and provided the toddler seat we asked for. Guest services was great. However, the facilities are a long way from a 5 star hotel and Accor should really know better than to advertise it this way, considering your other properties around the world. There was mold and cracks in almost all the walls, especially in the kitchen of the Oasis pool which didn’t look sanitary. The food at the International Buffet was atrocious, a lot of things looked like it was sitting out for hours. The red and white wines from the pool kiosk came from bags. It was also difficult to relax on the beach without having someone come up every 10 mins to sell excursions or a salon service. The room keys managed to be defective everyday, causing us to have to walk multiple times to reception to get new ones. There is also no drink service by the pool, and no pool toys for kids except for a pool noodle. Overall, don’t expect a 5 star experience and you won’t be disappointed.

The. Structure was nice but the food was really horrible. Everything was overcooked and mixes with creams . No taste at all
