The 4-star superior Movenpick Hotel Hamburg in the former water tower in the middle of the Sternschanzenpark, offers 226 modern non-smoking rooms and suites. The hotel has a Movenpick Restaurant, which offers international, regional and Swiss cuisine. The CAVE is situated in the historical water reservoir. Our 13 conference rooms offer space for meetings, banquets and conferences for up to 200 persons. The hotel has a fitness room and a relaxing sauna area with two saunas.

Business travelers benefit from the excellent connection to the Hamburg Exhibition and Congress Center and will find ideal working conditions in our 13 meeting rooms. Families can explore the city. The harbor and Jungfernstieg are within walking distance. There is a subway and suburban railway stop right next to the hotel. The firealarm was activated and the entire Hotel was evacuated. During this we saw no staff and did not get any information. The Hotel is not to blame for was seemed to be a Guest whom smoked in a room. But the Staff should have been visible and have informed. If there would have been a serious fire the evacuation simply took far to long. We did not get any information afterward either and no "sorry for the inconvenience" at time of check out. In general this incident was extremely poor handled.

Its location is very convenient—situated close to Sternschanze, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and some of Hamburg’s trendier neighborhoods. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. The design felt contemporary, yet it still reflected the building’s historic character. One of the highlights was the breakfast. The selection was excellent, offering a wide range of fresh and high-quality options, from pastries and fruits to hot dishes. It definitely set a great tone for the day. I also had the chance to visit the hotel’s restaurant and bar, which provided a cozy atmosphere and good food. Overall, Mövenpick Hotel Hamburg is a great choice for both business and leisure travelers. Its unique setting, comfortable rooms, and excellent service make it a standout option in the city.
