The 4-star superior Movenpick Hotel Hamburg in the former water tower in the middle of the Sternschanzenpark, offers 226 modern non-smoking rooms and suites. The hotel has a Movenpick Restaurant, which offers international, regional and Swiss cuisine. The CAVE is situated in the historical water reservoir. Our 13 conference rooms offer space for meetings, banquets and conferences for up to 200 persons. The hotel has a fitness room and a relaxing sauna area with two saunas.

Great room, staff was very helpful

The hotel has great potential but was ultimately disappointing. The location and breakfast are great. The restaurant offers a limited selection of food that does not match the quality of the food that is easily available in the local district. The bar is fine, but on two successive visits (one month apart) was out of stock of selected items. The biggest disappointment is the fitness center. There are few machines. One was completely out of order and the others were not well maintained. Furthermore, the fitness room is far too hot, and the water fountain was not working. I stayed 9 nights at the hotel and during this time the water fountain was not repaired. The hotel offered bottled water as an alternative, but on half of my 8 visits to the room there were only empty bottles.

Die Bettlaken waren nicht groß genug und sind jede Nacht von der Matratze gerutscht, sodass man am Morgen mit dem Kopf auf der Planken Matratze lag. Das fand ich nicht gut. Das Bad ist leider nicht sehr praktisch. Die Jalousie zum Zimmer hat nicht funktioniert sowie die Klimaanlage. Positiv: der Barkeeper aus Fuerteventura war super freundlich! 😊
