The 4-star superior Movenpick Hotel Hamburg in the former water tower in the middle of the Sternschanzenpark, offers 226 modern non-smoking rooms and suites. The hotel has a Movenpick Restaurant, which offers international, regional and Swiss cuisine. The CAVE is situated in the historical water reservoir. Our 13 conference rooms offer space for meetings, banquets and conferences for up to 200 persons. The hotel has a fitness room and a relaxing sauna area with two saunas.

Business travelers benefit from the excellent connection to the Hamburg Exhibition and Congress Center and will find ideal working conditions in our 13 meeting rooms. Families can explore the city. The harbor and Jungfernstieg are within walking distance. There is a subway and suburban railway stop right next to the hotel. The city center with its sights such as St. Michael's Church ("der Michel"), the Landungsbrücken and the Mönckebergstraße can be reached in less than 10 minutes.

This hotel is close to an U-Bahn stop but as a woman traveling alone I didn't feel very safe walking from the U-Bahn to the hotel. I encountered a man urinating publicly during one walk from the train to the hotel. It's a cool concept and interesting design but practically the hotel was very hot and loud. I was on the 9th floor but with windows open I could hear all of the noise from the park below very clearly. The room was also very small, and the windows were as well. I went to the bar for happy hour where the bartender was very rude to me when I asked about the happy hour specials saying they weren't much cheaper than the normal drinks. It was a weird atmosphere and I didn't feel very welcome. The hotel staff were slow. Checking out took a while and I was worried about missing my train. Value for the money I spent was very poor. I wouldn't stay here again.
