Hotel worth going to when wanting to stay near Nagoya station

My family of 12 stay in Ibis style Nagoya is great. From check in to check out smooth and simple. Just that when I booked the hotel, there’s a family promotion for 2 rooms but somehow the rooms only allow 2 adults 1 child. I wanted to book for 4 adults 2children. Isn’t 1 room maximum occupancy is 2 adults 1 child. Doesn’t make sense for my booking. Hope that the hotel booking system can be improved. Otherwise it would have been a 10/10 score for my stay.

Location was great… 10 minutes away from the Nagoya station. Room was small, but it’s typical of Japanese hotels. Sheets were fresh and changed daily!

I chose this hotel because I've enjoyed other stays at ibis Styles hotels in Japan. In my experience the English proficiency seems to be higher in this hotel chain compared to other hotels in Japan, which was also true for this one in Nagoya. But it also felt less personal compared to other ibis Styles hotels. I have to admit I was a bit concerned when I checked in and there was a highway right outside my room. But the soundproofing was excellent, I couldn't hear anything from the quite busy road. The area in general is quiet at night. The room was immaculately clean, as (almost) usual in Japan. The bed was too hard for my liking. Coming back to the hotel my first evening in Nagoya I actually wondered if it was located in a red light district, as there were young Japanese girls on the sidewalk in pajamas holding teddy bears trying to lure in customers to whatever was going on. If I ever come back to Nagoya I'll probably choose another hotel closer to either Nagoya station or a subway.

The hotel is less than 10 min walk from Nagoya train station ad surrounded by shops and restaurants. The room is in good size and well equipped.
