Clean and quiet, great view from balcony, comfy beds, handy to all places we wanted. walking distance to shops, supermarket, cafes, entertainment. secure parking. Very Happy will definatley come back and refer friends. As there was a festival on the esplanade we could shut our balcony door which blocked out and noise. very quiet

Fairly standard service and room stay, rooms are not serviced daily however you can collect fresh towels from reception. We did book and pay extra for a room on the esplanade side and although we weren't on the pool side, our room was looking over the university and McDonalds - so you might need to be specific if you are wanting a room on the esplanade for the views. At the cost of the rooms, we will try somewhere else in Cairns next time.

Staff were friendly helpfull and polite, the room was clean and comfortable and location was perfect with a short stroll to island boat departures, other tour pick up points, shops and restaurants. Perfect location across the road from the lagoon and we enjoyed nightly strolls through the park we enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Location of this hotel was great. Staff were lovely. That is about all I can say that is positive about this accommodation. Room was very smelly of stale mould. Visible mould marks on very old, deteriorated curtains (which didn't close properly). Had to purchase Glen 20 spray to mask the smell so we could sleep. We actually looked for another hotel to move to but none were available as we really couldn't handle the smell. Walls were stained, dirty and in need of a paint. AC units air was very smelly so we didn't put them on. Beds (including SOFA) were not comfortable. I ended up with some sort of rash on my face which came up on our second night there. Sticky marks on the carpet. Generally, a very tired, dated room but IF it was clean and mould free, would have been ok. Would not stay here again.

No housekeeping. We had to go looking for toilet paper, soap, and towels. Bins weren't emptied, and room wasn't cleaned for the 5 days we were there. Flashing light in the kitchen was replaced. That was the only service visit we had the whole time.
