FV Brisbane by Peppers

Room was hard to find, place is a maze. Mattress on sofa bed made up the wrong way around, room was smelly. Layout of room was weird. Had to move furniture around a lot to unfold sofa bed. Not great considering room rate

Peppers FV is awesome You guys have the best service I would particularly like to call out, 1. Sophie she is amazing helped my crew and I soooo much the night before we checked in making sure we had everything we needed early check in was possible and also so so helpful. 2. Michael, he is a star again such an amazing staff member and so polite, helpful and accommodating, the best 3. I cant remember this other young ladies name, but she was working the front desk on the day with Michael, Asian/Fillo in appearance and had round glasses on, again so good polite friendly and helpful, the true star overall was definitely Sophie! remembered our names when checking out 4 days later and still so helpful, she is amazing !

Well located across the road from The Valley train station and walking distance to James Street. 2 bedroom apartment was very small compared to other Peppers venues. Was difficult for 4 ladies to stay together.

The rooms are very large and clean, one staff member at reception went out of her way to help and be nice, the other (a guy) was fairly cold and not engaging at all. The room I was in faced directly into the tower next door so I had to close the blinds my whole stay to avoid being the preverbal fish in a bowl. It's in a very average part of fortitude valley with seedy nightclubs and people sleeping rough outside. Overall I was fine with the stay thought however not sure I'd book again due to location

Booked and paid to stay 1 week while family member was in hospital. Never did I think I would stay in a hotel that looks like it is set up for emergency accomodation. Apartment I booked was a 2 bedroom with kitchen. Kitchen didn't even have the basics of a vegetable peeler or knife to cut anything. Fry Pan and pots were not washed by the last guests.Many guys in the lobby wearing no tops/shirts and didn't seem like they reception cared. Perhaps a party hotel in the middle of what I could only call the ghetto's. Homeless drug effected people hang out across the street from the hotel, and while there a few teenage guests were mugged outside the front door. Security is not only sub par, he should not be there. Rude and doesn't make eye contact with guests. Paid $45.00 a night for valet parking and on many occasions had to do laps of the streets until valet, or reception moved the cars. Seems not only guests pull up there but people park in the drop off zone and leave their car there. On one of the nights, I pulled my car up in a no standing zone, in a turning lane. Went inside to drop my keys and the only 1 person working on reception was also parking cars. This was around 6pm. The security guard was rude and did not lift his head out of his phone while I was trying to find out how long my car was going to sit in a no standing zone, he said I don't know, you have to wait! After a further 15 minute wait, the receptionist came in and said she was on her own. I asked how long my car was going to sit in a no standing zone, and she said she had to move 3 cars before mine. I have a G63 [so not a cheap car] sitting in a turning lane for over half an hour. I decided then with all of the above it was no longer safe for me to stay at this hotel, and not safe for my car to be left in a no standing zone, more than once in a few day stay. I decided to check out, and book another hotel. I should have done more research on the location of this hotel, and looked at the reviews before booking this hotel. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone apart from perhaps the people who don't mind looking at guys topless hanging around reception.
