Very disappointed with our stay - the location is convenient and the bed is comfortable but that’s where the positives stop. Room is very tired, dull lighting there is a hole/crack in our window and we are on the 10th Floor! No exhaust fan in the bathroom, some lights not working. Staff unresponsive to maintenance requests - definitely can find much better accommodation in Brisbane

My family and I were booked for a seven night stay. But after checking in on the first day I checked out the next day and requested cancellation of my booking for the rest of the week. The Pullman calls themselves a 5 star hotel but the room we had was tired and the furnishings unclean. The back of the curtains were dark stained (looked like blood stains but that’s probably my imagination). The Tv was about 20 years old. The balcony had thick weeds growing in parts of it and the outdoor seats were falling apart. As a Pullman guest you need to go through a different part of the building to access the pool. Change lifts on level 5, go through hallway and through different heavy doors and then take a different lift to level 16 where the pool is. The pool, gym and rooftop bar and restaurant are all on the other side of the building where Mercure is located. Everything is shared between the Pullman and Mercure. The pool is small, there are cracked tiles on the sides and on the floor of the pool. Both my children cut their feet on the cracked tiles. They were ok but disappointing that a five star hotel will leave their facilities to such a poor state. If you must stay at this hotel, choose to pay less and go with Mercure (4 star and cheaper). Paying extra premium for Pullman for the five star experience is not worth it. The breakfast was ok experience. The staff were nice and helpful especially with my children’s allergies. Special mention to Julia in the kitchen. She took special care to prepare a plate of food for my daughter who has dairy, eggs and nut allergies. Thank you for the great and caring service there. Glad to say we found a different hotel that we are much happier with.
Extremely disappointed. Never visit again.

Our initial experience, with the concierge staff, was great. But it went downhill from there. Check in took ages, made more difficult by staff whose grasp of English was quite poor. Then our room wasn't available till after 4:00, The room was clean enough, but the bathroom was quite dated and a shower over a bath is not what would be expected for a hotel of this supposed standard. Breakfast was a struggle, trying to get staff to understand our order. Again. their ability to understand English was very poor, and they, not surprisingly, got our order wrong. And the final insult has been to find that we were charged an international transaction fee on our booking payment. Why would a booking made in Australia for an Australian hotel be charged such a fee? There has to be a LOT of hotels in Brisbane that could do better than this!

Absolutely amazing great rooms so clean and Georgia in the restaurant she went above and beyond We all need this girl in hospitality. I hope next year she is manager of this restaurant Merry Christmas 🎄

First impressions of the hotel was excellent. Nice drop off and pick up areas for vehicles. Nice lobby to check in. I think customer service and creating an experience of a 5 star hotel are two areas that Pullman can improve on. Don’t expect room upgrades for having a high status with Accor membership. The room did not have the usual complimentary items expected of a 5 star hotel (slippers, toothbrush, robe etc). After ringing reception, the items never arrived on the first night. I was there for business reasons, they still charge to access Internet… I can’t believe this is still happening? The gym and guest laundry are located in the adjacent mercure tower. The Mercure tower will need to be accessed through a common level or the lobby, making it inconvenient. All in all, the hotel served its purpose by providing a few nights of accommodation. I definitely did not feel like it was a 5 star experience. I do not recommend this hotel if you’re looking for that 5 star experience.
