This was our first time staying at Mecure Lomtalay. We booked for 4 nights and ended up staying for over 2 weeks because we loved it so much. Thank you very much to Daniel and his entire team for looking after us. We loved the ocean views from our room & the koh restaurant bar. The food was top notch, breakfast selection & quality was up there with the best 👌. We also enjoyed the option of the 2 swimming pools. We look forward to visiting again soon. Joy & Peter

Previously, when I stayed at other hotels in the Mercure chain, my experiences generally a bit below my expectations. I didn’t expect much, but many things weren’t really up to the standard I had hoped for. However, this hotel went above and beyond. The one thing that truly stands out is the friendliness, hospitality, and politeness of the staff, while still respecting guests’ privacy. They are incredibly service-minded, and I really mean every single one of them, the front desk staff, bar staff, restaurant staff, shuttle bus drivers, security staff, and everyone else I encountered. I honestly didn’t meet a single person who was an exception. I’m truly impressed and would like to express my appreciation to the entire team for making my stay such a wonderful experience. Apart from the staff, the facilities are also excellent. The hotel has two wings (Garden Wing and Ocean Wing) located about 500-600 meters apart. I stayed at the Garden Wing, and although there wasn’t a restaurant there during my stay, I simply took the hotel shuttle for breakfast. The shuttle was very convenient, with such a short waiting time that I hardly noticed it. For Welcome Drink redemption, KOH bar is available at the Garden Wing. There’s also a 7-Eleven about a 200-meter walk from the Garden Wing. Across the road, you’ll find the beach as well as several local restaurants, which are great alternatives for dinner if you’d like to dine outside the hotel.

The location is next to the beach. Staff were all polite, courteous & accommodating. The room was clean & bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was sumptuous with indoor & outdoor (seaview) seatings.

This is the best place to stay on this beach, but be aware of the difference between ocean and garden wing. We staid at ocean wing and it’s a lot better. Garden wing is not on the beach and have shuttle service for breakfast. Garden wing should have a big warning. ⛔️ «you have to shuttle to a different hotel». Room is clean and breakfast is great. Food and beverage are insanely overpriced and some of the items on the menu are discussing, like the burger. I tasted the signature burger and it was dry as a Sahara. There are a lot decent alternatives close by. There are 3 more serious reasons why I might not come back. These people don’t give you any attention. We was travelling to celebrate our 25 anniversary and was given no attention. We told in advance and asked for arrangements, but was completely ignored. Also questions about how to see World Cup was ignored. Our daughter arrived a day in advance and was treated with the same ignorance and she gave up arranging something special for her parents. Shame on you for ignoring our day! Secondly there was payment issues. We booked trough the app nd paid in advance with Amex. Before we arrived we was told hat it was not paid, because the property don’t accept Amex. Booking stated «paid in full». We had to pay one more time and was ignored by staff even then we showed screenshots from the app. I’m not sure how this plays out, but there is still a hold on my Amex. And because of currency change we have lost between 5 and 10 %. Shame on you for taking my money. The 3 thing is that this property only rewards about a 4 of the points for the bookings. So this hotel is run by stupid and ignorert staff. Nothing polite helper, so this is why I’m writing. There have to be improvements or they have to downgrade form Mercure. Not in line with what the brand says. Maybe this public statement will do something…

We are especially sorry that your 25th wedding anniversary was not recognized. After reviewing your reservation, we were unable to find any record of your special request. However, we take your comments seriously and will investigate this matter thoroughly to better understand what happened and improve our communication process. We also apologize for the confusion regarding your payment. At the time of your stay, our hotel was still in the process of enabling American Express card acceptance with our banking partner. After reviewing your reservation, we can confirm that your card was not charged twice by our hotel, as our system was unable to process any American Express transactions. Although your non-refundable booking confirmation showed "Amount already paid," our team was unable to collect the payment before arrival, which is why payment was requested again at check-in. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this caused. Your feedback has been shared with our management team as we continue working to improve our service and guest experience.
