The condition of the rooms is poor. In one of the rooms the air conditioner does not work, in the other room there was a strange smell + in all the rooms it was blowing from the windows.

We spent two nights in the hotel. The lobby design is marvelous, breakfast and dinner was exceptional. Fusion between local and international food. Room size great and perfect wellness. Great for business but also leisure stay.

Smelly rooms, crowded spa

Rixos was my favourite hotel in the capital. But my recent experience was a big disappointment as I noticed a strong smell of sweat in the rooms, the quality and the selection of breakfast became significantly worse, a spa pool is overcrowded, saunas need urgent refurbishment and hamams need proper cleanup as there is a strong smell of mould.

My stay started with providing a cold room with a view on construction. The room was changed only after my firm confirmation to leave the other room on the next day. At 11 pm, after I fell asleep, room service started knocking the door suggesting me iron. The food is absolutely terrible: I could not eat the dinner (ordered to the room), breakfast was not good at all (especially hush brown).

Pay attention to the behaviour of your employees Reception: Ernan, aggressive/ unprofessional Sales department: Almas, confused me with the price. Def. would get rid of those people, as they let the company loos the clients.

Neighbors were so sexualy noisy in the night. Couldn't sleep. You should Manage to accomodate clients according their age group. Meaning to accommodate far away from young people

I stayed in Rixos Astana for the first time, my wife and I spent 2 nights. At the check in the reception made paper copies of passports of both of us, which I never experienced before, what is the reason? Do you really need paper copies, how long you are going to keep them? is it aligned with GDPR? It may be a local rules that you need to verify identity of every residents of the hotel and keep their paper copies of documents for some time... Next, I have been asked if I'm planning to use the mini-bar available in the room, I said probably not, then the reception asked me to pay full amount for the stay without extras, okay... Once my wife and I finally moved in the room, a hotel staff showed up to lock the mini-bar in our room with a key, as we are not planning to use the minibar... What??? are you kidding me? The hotel management thinks that I may use the minibar and run away without paying for it?? Next day I faced with the same approach of the hotel management, I ordered a room service and asked to put the invoice on my room, so I will pay for all extras at my check out. But surprise, the same guy shows up at my door and asking to pay immediately as I don't have deposit on my room... A note to the management of the Hotel: Stop thinking that the residents of the hotel may steal, run away without paying, etc. Instead of locking the mini-bars in the presence of the residents, lock them all and ask at the move-in if the staff need to open it... I'm completely dissatisfied with the Rixos Astana, it was my first and definitely the last stay at that hotel. I will stick to Hilton hotel, which has way better service, care of customers, understanding core values of hotel and hospitality business. Good luck..

On a Sunday when the city is shut down including all of Rixos restaurants, room service only, only one person was staffing the room service. Very bad planning on part of management. And only warm draft beer available - come on! Also, I was doing business all weekend and needed to print off several presentations on Sunday but the business center staff were resting and the reception staff were unable to figure out how to print off documents. Luckily, I had a colleague staying at the Ritz Carlton and he was able to get it done there!

Great hotel and service. Shutlle from & to the airport was very good. Room was neat and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast was very extensive and the staff were very friendly. They also provide good information about what to discover in the city or how you can best use public transportation.
