Novotel Convention & Spa Antananarivo 5 stars

The air-conditioning in the rooms doesn't allow you to change the temperature setting. It seems to be faulty. I would also like to see fresh towels in the gym more frequently. Otherwise, I really had a great stay. The food in the restaurant was always very good.

I stayed three nights at the Novotel Antananarivo, a business trip between long flights to and from Europe. I've stayed in Antananarivo before, but this was my first time at the Novotel. One of the best business trip experiences I've ever had. The room, the gym, the wifi, the restaurant, the spa, the service - everything was excellent, as good as it gets. Especially the massage I had before departing on a 12 hour flight back home to Paris. The masseuse was professional and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. It made the long flight bearable. The gym was great too - complete with my favorites, a rowing machine (not a Concept 2 like I have at home, but comparable) and free weights, and plenty of room for atretching. Tana is not really a walking town so I won't comment in walkability.

Very nice hotel, comfortable, modern, fully equipped, cozy, friendly stuff. I totally enjoyed staying at this hotel. Tasty dishes at the restaurant, outstanding breakfast, very comfortable and relaxing spa area, roof top bar in the night - that all makes relaxing and very enjoyable atmosphere 😉. What I'd improve: the air-conditioner seems like broken or of a very poor quality. It's same as fen - no intelligence at all. Very dangerous for minors and peope with breathing diseases. Modern aircons can start / stop based on the actual room temperature, change the airflow intensity, constantly changing the direction of the airflow to sustain maximum safety and comfort. The aircons can be definitely replaced with modern, intelligent ones. Water temperature at the swimming pool is quite hot, I've never seen like this. So strange, I'd make the water temperature of the indoor swimming pool 🏊‍♀️ 🥽 5 to 10 degrees Celsius lower. Certainly. Water in the bathroom wasn't going out as it is supposed to making all floor slippery full of soap.

Despite being conveniently located, the atmosphere remained quiet and relaxing, which made it perfect for unwinding after a busy day. What truly stood out was the exceptional customer service. Every staff member I encountered was courteous, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests felt valued and comfortable. Overall, my stay was nothing short of fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, cleanliness, and outstanding service. I look forward to returning in the future.
