In general, reception, restaurant and room service were Ok. After renovation, it could be noted that the room now have health and safety issues.

During our vacations trip on Madagascar, we stayed three times in the IBIS hotel. The first stay was o.k. because we arrived on a Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning. During the second stay for one night we had to ask for another room because of the renovation noise just above. For the third stay we were booked for two nights. In the first day we heard the construction noise, but it was somehow acceptable. When we came back from a tour at 2:30PM on the second day, we were just shocked. First of all the room wasn't cleaned and the furniture vibrated from the construction above. At the reception there were several other guests complaining about the noise. A clerk from the reception just said that our tour operator was informed that the hotel is currently renovated and that there are potential noise emission. After talking to my tour operator he mentioned that he didn't receive any info about the renovation work. After all I wanted to speak to the general manager of the hotel. First they said, that she is in meeting and not available. I requested to speak to her immediately. After more than 15 minutes I got the answer that she is not around and wouldn't have time to discuss the issue with me. Honestly I have to say, I never experienced such a "customer orientation" in any hotel in the whole world. I felt very sorry with the staff that they had to handle an upset customer and that the management didn't feel responsible. Finally we got another room in which the noise was bearable. But the work restarted at 7AM on Saturday. Don't worry, you won't have to deal with me/us in the future, because we will never stay in an All Accor hotel again. By the way: You already got an one star rating on google and on tripadvisor.
