Well located, tidy and nicely furnished room. Clean. Disappointing the TV sound bar didn't work. Was told the next morning at checkout to press two buttons at the same time to make the sound work (made to feel I should've known this). Would be good to be really clear about the use of the TV and sound bar upfront. The ironing board was broken - could not be made to stand as one of the legs was broken and missing a piece. The continental breakfast was a disappointment. Made up of mostly sweet food. My black coffee was watery, and didn't taste fresh. I welcomed the offer of some additional sourdough bread and was given warm, buttery sloppy bread slices. The fresh fruit was the best item of the serve. Service was great, people very nice and gentle.

Our experience was outstanding, all the staff were very professional and friendly. The accessible room we stayed in had everything we needed but one small point was with the beautiful large chairs provided made it hard for my wife in her wheelchair to move around. Another point that disappointed us that to reach the restaurant and check in area my wife in her wheelchair have to be transferred in the service lift. This meant ringing for assistance each time we wanted to go to the restaurant. We thought this was not acceptable for an Accor five star hotel and degrading for a disable person. We loved our stay. We enjoyed our stay. Service was good. Room is spacious and well decorated. Very convenient and centrally located. There is no view from the room though. The bed is slightly too soft but I always prefer a firm bed.

great location. Short staff meant delays in meal

It was only due to the goodwill of staff that I could get valet service for my ar as their is no on site parking. We had a family dinner and because of staff shortages it took a very long time for the era to arrive. Two members had th catch ferries so speed was of the essence. We know that the delay was because of COVID but it was frustrating.The room was small. my wife has a walker retires to get up in the right but their was inaedequate room between the bed and the wall to allow her to use the walker. We should have complained but did not as we knew they were under major pressure. Liam was greta and very helpful as was Tracey.

From the moment I walked in the concierge was very welcoming and friendly and the check in was quick and easy . I couldn’t figure out how to get the lift to work as my card was not working properly other than that everything was great .

This review would normally be higher, as I have always liked my stays. In this case I was late for a meeting, so the usual valet service was critical- because parking outside the hotel is so hit or miss. But the Concierge I found out later was unwell. So I needed to self park my care four blocks away. Bonus it was free for two days in Auckland, but mean I was another 20min late to the meeting. It was not the end of the world- but inconvenient at the time.

All the good points of the hotel such as cleanliness, decor, staff, breakfast quickly dissolve when you are not able to have a good nights sleep due to the nightclub that thumps away each night we stayed at the hotel. We left irritated and exhausted. Over 550 Euros for 2 nights! I feel robbed of sleep and money!

Everything was very lovely - rooms, bar, staff, amenties etc. Nice to have rooms with some luxury and character - hotel stands out from the bland offerings. Only drawback is a lot of noise through the ceiling from the upstairs bathrooms (?)

Super Sylish, Superb Service, Convenient Location

Fable, is a super stylish hotel that received several awards for its delicious decor. Housed in an old character building, the staff aim to please. I felt very valued and well looked after as an Accor Platinum member. The location is at the bottom end of Queen St close to the fabulous and freshly built Comnercial Bay precinct and my favourite , the Brittomart precinct.

A beautiful hotel that stands out from the rest because of their wonderful staff who worked hard to make our stay easy. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very thoughtful and professional. Very comfortable sleep, excellent amenities, private and quiet. The gym was small but one of the better ones I’ve seen in a central city hotel, jacuzzi was relaxing. Would love to go to Auckland again to have the excuse to stay here!
