Great staff, from reception to housekeeping they were all top notch, room was comfortable and tech was good, the other sideis the view, got to watch the buses coming and going from their depot every hour of the day and there is significant construction noise in the area. Booked this hotel specifically for a balcony, as you can see by the photo it is about half a metre wide, forget about putting a chair out there its way too narrow, such a shame. Pool area was also disappointing, indoors and bleak, next visit will be trying the intercontinental

There seemed to be a lack of staff, with only one staff member on the check-in/check-out desk during my stay. I ordered food and was told I had to collect it from the front door myself when on previous stays it had been delivered to my room. The rooms do not provide plug in charging facilities for USB-C cords, only USB cords which are not used frequently anymore. I woke at 3am to find that I had a faulty phone charging plug and called reception to ask if there were any spares and was told that there weren't but that I could bring my phone to reception to be charged, which I found to be an unsatisfactory solution for a 5 Star Hotel. The room was pleasant and the bed comfortable, but the extra level of service that I associate with the Sofitel brand was lacking.

The room was good. A comfy bed, nice bedlinen and fluffy towels. Breakfast was also good with lots of choices. The staff was excellent.

Rooms are definitely not 5 star. We had a suite but the room was dated. Breakfast was good. The lounge was OK but ambience ruined by freezing aircon and male staff member who was talking loudly the whole time while training another staff member.

When we arrived early, I was willing to wait for our room, but was offered an early check-in for a fee, which I agreed to. I specifically asked if it would be the same class of room that was booked by our travel agent, and was told that it was. The room smelled musty. The air conditioning didn't work. It was on the sunny side of the building, and was way too hot in the room. It was overlooking a bus depot and very noisy industrial construction. I asked for another room, and the only other room was still on the same side with no air conditioning in the hotel. They brought in a cooling unit, but that meant opening the door to get ventilation. It was too noisy to sleep, even with ear plugs. I called my travel agent, who helped resolve the situation the next day - I got a new room on the other side, and it was of the type the rest of our travel group had. The travel agent told the hotel to never again book the original room on that side of the hotel for her guests. Our stay got better after the first day, thankfully.
