A modern hotel right on the waterfront. The rooms are spacious and well set out. The location is close several eating places as well as a Woolworths metro supermarket. We had a cooked breakfast every day which was excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Order in room service - fish was small portion, desert inedible, soup tasted awful, Pillows were too bulky and beds lumpy

After being transferred by Ramada Manukau at the last minute and needing a late check in due to this change and travel timeframes the Sofitel staff were exceptional. Kind, patient and friendly. By this stage I had been on my feet in 4" heals for 17 hours and was so grateful that they could sort my accommodation. The room was super, black out curtains and NO sound, dead quiet I slept the best I have ever slept in a hotel room. Sofitel will be my hotel of choice for Auckland stays now.

Satisfied but Room standard was not what we expected.

We come yearly, and this time around, I have to complain. I'm sorry. We were in Room 640. The facility and room were nice, but there was only 1 x Bathroomrobe, where normally there are many. In Room 641, we found dust on the sills and a huge moth, which we managed to take care of.
