Nice to back - alas no room upgrade but thank you for the mumm champagne in the room. Check in good. Brett as friendly as ever in the club lounge. Breakfast and dinner good but staff a bit busy at breakfast. Staying at the Pullman Apartments next time we are in Auckland as you room rates seem to be going up.

This is truly an excellent hotel. We had a wonderful stay; couldn't fault a thing. The room was spacious, comfortable, and full of luxurious extras such as free movies, robes and high-end toiletries. Including a Dyson hairdryer! The king size bed was wonderfully comfortable, the water views were great, and the indoor pool and spa were fantastic. Breakfast was exceptional - good value and delicious. All the staff members we encountered were very friendly and helpful. And the location was great too - a very short flat walk to bustling dockside precinct and Britomart area. Would absolutely recommend staying here - we cant wait to come back!

There are so many people to thank at this hotel all staff were great. Special thanks to the two guys in the Sofitel Club Lounge (great job). The bed was just how my wife and I like a bed. Cleaning staff did a great job. Breakfast was good. This Sofitel has improved so much since our last visit and that was pretty good this was better. Well done all.

+ Great service and good handle of complaints + In-room facilities/amenities (e.g. Dyson hairdryer, Chromecast and Nespresso) and communal facilities (swimming pool and gym) + Good location in the Auckland waterfront + Good breakfast - Guaranteed 2pm check-in was delayed to 3pm (late check-out and free breakfast was offered in compensation) - No run-down on the typical check-in information, e.g. how wifi works, etc. - Some gym equipment TVs were not working, and was not clear where the wet wipes were - Difficult TV location in the room makes it hard to watch from bed and couch - No concierge or reception staff was visible at 11pm, and I spotted some guests locked outside the front entrance at 2am in the morning - Email from the hotel a few days prior to my stay was a nice touch, but when emailed back inquiring about preparing a special surprise for my partner, the hotel never got back to me. Overall, while it was an enjoyable stay, but the small mistakes and shortfalls made us feel like it was not an experience we were expecting for a five-star hotel.

We were throughly looked after by all stay . Except one person at the restaurant . Sat at table for about 10mins without being offered a drink .

Kia ora. This was the second time for me at Sofitel, I had to return. Wonderful kaimahi (staff), effortless check-in, valet parking, and a lovey room with lots of space makes for a wonderful stay. I love the ambience of the hotel too, oh, and the champagne bar is nice.

The staff were awesome apart from them deciding what I could and couldn’t get from room service I felt like a 2 year old being told off. If I’m paying then serve what I’m asking for if I get beyond my limit at 55.5 years old I will fall asleep. The purpose of my stay was to chill and do what I wanted without people deciding for me!!! Unfortunately when I asked for further room service I was declined… which meant I was no better off than staying at home bummer… just wanted one night to do what I wanted to do so I can’t give a 10 sadly.

We have stayed at the Sofitel many times for “Staycations” and always have felt a high end luxury. Sadly this was really lacking. Our room was full of hair to the point where I had to clean out the bath. Our toilet was broken and noisy and required by husband to fix it. Then to top of the poor state of the room when we ordered dinner and advised the chef I am celiac I was badly glutened and spent the whole trip in the bathroom sick. The steam room was still broken from months ago when we last stayed. I wish we had just stayed home. Being celiac and getting glutened is really serious. It takes me months to recover and I’m gutted we spent money to become unwell. I would like to you your staff are amazing when we explained the issues the next morning your front of house was very apologetic and lovely however we still ended up spending ALOT of money for a terrible experience.

One night was not enough although it did the trick get take a well deserved brake and be looked after in such a well deigned delightful hotel. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, recommend the valet parking and breakfast, added to the carefree easy experience. would highly recommend.

Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Hotel is a hotel I keep going back to. Service, comfort and amenities second to none. It's also central so easy walking into town and restaurants in the area. The staff are always so friendly and helpful too - nothing is a problem.

Made to feel very welcome again. Thanks you. We were guests in the hotel during a serious incident which was managed calmly and professionally by management and their team. Arrangements were made for us to continue my husbands birthday treat in the cafe with a stunning view of the Sky Tower. Well done to the Sofitel team.

Our recent stay at the Sofitel Viaduct Harbour will remain in our thoughts forever. Firstly the hotel facilities, service and staff were great. The view from our room over the Marina and across the city were fabulous. Then the " shooting incident" was a true test of the staff and their care of the guests. They responded magnificently ensuring the safety of us all and arranging breakfasts on the cafe and alfresco. We will return.

We stayed at the Sofitel Viaduct on two occasions in April 2021 and both were very enjoyable. Nice welcomes both times (Nathan in particular on our first visit) and friendly hosts in the Executive Lounge (Chez). Rooms were very good and dinner/breakfast in La Maree was very good. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great location. We'll be back in May 2021!
