The hotel itself is nice. The room is comfy with a modern style. The location of the hotel is also good. The only one PROBLEM was the receptionist. We were tired from our long haul flight, arrived at the front desk, and instead of checking us in as swiftly as possible, the receptionist kept trying to convince us to buy their breakfast/membership package!!! This was so annoying! I declined 3 times and she still went at it, even taking out her calculator to show how cheap it was. In the end, checking in took about 35-40 min. Therefore I’m giving 3 stars. Don’t torture your tired guests just so you can try to sell breakfast.

The hotel is located besides Zara at Kunming Nanping Street. It takes about 15 minutes to reach Pedestrian Street where no vehicles are allowed to enter and there is a Carrefour. The hotel is clean and I love its design. The only setback is that the toilet is separated from the shower area and the window glass is frosted type so you may not have privacy if you are staying with friends. The toilet seat is auto-heated during this winter time and it has the auto-bidet. The two super single beds fit for 2 adults and 2 children. Overall, 5 stars for Ibis Styles Nanping, Kunming.
