I must express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the hotel. I checked into Room 1904 on 6 March, initially scheduled to check out on 9 March. However, I extended my stay for two additional nights on 8 March. Despite this, I encountered serious issues that have left me extremely disappointed. Housekeeping Intrusions On the morning of 9 March (today) at 9:04 a.m., a housekeeping staff member knocked on my door while I was asleep. Although I was awakened and shouted “coming” multiple times, she still used her keycard to open my room door. When I confronted her, she claimed she was there to vacuum my room, which is utterly unacceptable at that hour, especially considering that: • I had a Do Not Disturb sign on my door. • I had extended my stay, S. my room should not have been treated as if I were checking out. • Even if I were checking out, standard checkout time is 11 a.m. (I had even requested 12 p.m. and the request was confirmed and approved). To make matters worse, around noon, someone else knocked and again used a keycard to unlock my door but did not enter. This further disturbed my sleep. Given that the front desk had confirmed my stay extension, these incidents are completely unacceptable and a serious breach of guest privacy. I reported this to the on-duty assistant manager, but instead of offering an apology, he simply stated he would “check what happened.” This lack of accountability is incredibly disappointing. Wi-Fi Connectivity Failure Additionally, the Wi-Fi in my room stopped working on the evening of 8 March. I reported this to reception, and after waiting, I was informed that nothing could be done. This issue persisted until the afternoon of 9 March, when I had to call again before being transferred to an IT technician—who then discovered that the router outside my room was malfunctioning. This raises a critical question: Would this issue have gone unresolved had I not followed up? As a guest, I should not have to chase down solutions for essential services. The poor Wi-Fi connectivity severely impacted my work, as mobile data was unreliable in my room, and I had limited data on my plan. Request for Explanation & Compensation These issues—privacy intrusions, poor response from management, and the prolonged Wi-Fi failure—have significantly affected my stay. I had an important 3:30 p.m. meeting in Clayton on 9 March, yet due to the disruptions, I was unable to focus properly. I wrote an email complaining about the above issues but didn’t receive any response from the hotel.

After our flights were cancelled due to cyclone, we had stay longer a. change hotels. Staff were friendly a. very accommodating, even got a free room upgrade. The room was clean a. tidy with everything we needed. Had views looking the dock a. towards the bay. Walking distance to a lot of places. The beds were comfortable even though they were two beds put together. Would stay again.

Stayed at Novotel South Wharf with some family. We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment and our daughter had an interconnecting Junior Suite. Both were great rooms but loved the view from the Junior Suite from the 25th floor. The staff were very helpful and made sure we had a great stay.

Good location. Very comfortable, clean hotel

It was very strange. We checked in but I got a call from the hotel to see when I was checking in.... also there was a sign for Accor priority check in but the counter was unattended and the staff were busy with people checking out. So I lined up behind those people and waited. There was no acknowledgement as a member either. Other than that the stay was pleasant. Loved the room and the location.
