Stopped by for a carvery Sunday lunch. Possibly the worst meal we’ve ever had. It was awful. Food was lukewarm, poorly cooked and the service was terrible. We’ve never had to complain about a meal before, but we really had to mention to the staff how bad the meal was. The response was inadequate and they clearly didn’t care. I felt sorry for other people coming in to eat. We also had starters from the main menu, which were substandard and over priced. I never have high hopes for a carvery, but this was inedible. Such a bad experience I felt I had to warn others.

This was my second stay in the area. Earlier stay in High Wycombe was a rip-off disaster, so I was pleased to find this property. It isn’t 5 star so don’t expect it to be but it is functional and acceptably clean (stained carpet and bathroom needing some upkeep notwithstanding). Included breakfast was good, staff friendly and good location near relatives in Chinnor. Noted the EV charger on site which will enable renting one next time.
