On the positive side- the Paris/ So hotel is well located, the staff is courteous and helpful and the views are excellent. Breakfast at Bonnie restaurant was included with our room and was excellent. We also really enjoyed dinner at Bonnie and went twice during our stay. The fitness facility was clean and well equipped and we had excellent massages at the spa which (although small and without a changing area) has an impressive steam room. On the negative side- our room was tiny and we were completely baffled (and honestly, annoyed) by set up. There was no door between the shower and the bedroom area and there were wooden planks with wide gaps rather than a solid wall between the room and the shower. If a guest is staying with a spouse or a significant other, this may be fine; however, I was staying with my college age son and maneuvering around the shower privately was no simple feat. The room was reasonably clean, but not really to a five star standard. Free soft drinks and a small gift (chocolates, popcorn etc...) each evening was a nice and appreciated touch. We stayed right before the Paris Olympics and were surprised (shocked) that the hotel did not provide advance notice that it was in the grey security restricted area. Fortunately, I found the information on line just in time to get our security clearance. Recognizing that this was a one time situation it should not impact other travelers decision to stay at the hotel, but good communication is always essential.

This was our first experience with SO/ Paris and we were incredibly impressed. The rooms were fantastic (the most modern suite of tech and amenities I've seen). Hotel is close to Metro and walkable to nearly the entire city. The views from Bonnie are perfect. Service was top notch. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I almost didn’t want to leave this review because I don’t want to sully a near perfect stay with the small but meaningful disappointments I had. Leeloo, the entire front desk staff, Wilson and his door team were absolutely delightful. Caring, thoughtful and really went above and beyond throughout my stay. The location is excellent, the rooftop bar/lounge phenomenal and convenient. The view is without compare. Now the disappointments, Bonnie is an excellent restaurant with good food but unfortunately 5 out of the 6 days I frequented the restaurant the food was brought out cold. As a matter of fact I literally watched my food sit on a tray 3 feet from me after coming from the kitchen for about 6 minutes. By the time it was brought over it was cold. Asked for a new one only mildly warm. French toast cold, avocado toast with poached egg cold. Truly unacceptable. Room service was excellent and always accommodating even if we slept in but at times the cleaning was substandard and the room accumulated dust. Servicing a room is not just making a bed and vacuuming. It’s a shame to leave such a beautiful room with the best view in Paris in that condition. Bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept in, decor and ambiance beyond compare. Take out the small deficiencies and this is truly a 5 star gem in Paris. I look forward to my next stay with them and hope to see the small issues corrected. All in all an amazing new hotel with a few growing pains. Highly recommend and I know you won’t be disappointed.

The highlights of this trip to SO/ Paris were the wonderful staff and the location. From the moment we arrived, the staff was helpful and kind which made us feel very welcomed into the city and France as a whole. This continued throughout our stay and was truly a highlight. On top of that the location was perfect for access to the metro as well as beautiful scenery! We would love to come back one day!
