We went to Paris only watch sport at the Stade de France and had no desire to visit the city as tourists. The hotel is conveniently located from the highway and to travel to the stadium. Metro station Garibaldi is 400m away. The room (115) is cosy and the beds comfortable. The bathroom is clean and modern although the shower drain was clogged up with hair which did not allow the water to drain away, therefore flooding the floor. We had breakfast at the boulangerie right next door to the hotel but the breakfast area looked decent enough. The staff were friendly and Mohammed was very helpful.

This is clearly a hotel that has seen better days. Management must be very poor when all of the following issues happened during my short stay: 1) Reported broken shower head holder on second day - never fixed 2) Cleaners did not refill toilet paper and I had to ask in reception for more 3) Laundry bags seen by the lift hall in the afternoon every day (but no armchair with a table if only for the sake of better interior design 4) When I asked about the business center (which is actually stated as one of the facilities) the receptionist did not know anything about it. Only after insisting and having another employee engaged (possibly the manager) was the situation clarified: a multipurpose room that is used daily as a breakfast area also plays the role of meeting room and business center. Given that breakfast is served from 6 am till 10 am in that room, this space cannot be available. Not to mention that the space is not really prepared to serve as a business center therefore this is seriously misleading and a severe disappointment for a hotel that claims to be 4-star 5) No pen nor paper provided in the room for quick notes 6) Where did the wardrobe and drawers in the side table to? How can you even retain those 4 stars with such basic facilities? 7) Did anyone even realise that the soap dispensers for both bath and basin are so badly positioned to make it uncomfortable and a memorable (if only for the wrong reasons) feature of what is supposed to be a luxury hotel? 8) Have you ever heard of trying to fit a round peg on a square hole? Well, that is exactly what you did in room 609 by fitting the wrong toilet seat to the wc unit.

Normally we stay in the Marais, so this was a bit different. We enjoyed being near MontMartre and the Puces but will probably stay downtown in the future
