We were quite disappointed that a welcome card and gift for a different guest were left in our room as we walked in. It was my partner's birthday, and it did let him down to see this kind of level of service, especially since we stayed in a suite. Something to work on.

Check in was not welcoming, staff kept referring to my husband despite my name being on the booking. Elevators caused long queues troghot our stay, maybe they were not all working. Room was booked for 4 people however drinkware was only provided for 2. Broken equipment in the gym and a hole in the ceiling. Signals poor hotel maintenance. Was contacted for feedback during the stay, a message left a phone number however when calling back the phone was not answered and there was no way to leave a message. Worst part was that post checking my credit card was charged with minibar items that we had not used. I find it very dishonest of the hotel staff to charge this with no communication from the hotel.

We stayed for 3 nights and were upgraded to an executive floor. Check in and check out was efficient and friendly. Very comfortable bed and great pillows, Large wardrobe and roomy bathroom with bath and seperate shower. We enjoyed breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapes in the lounge, didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant. Hotel is very handy to the light rail and Pitt St Mall. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

Perfect location right in the heart of the city. Beautiful renovated hotel with a lovely lobby bar and level 10 pool. Service was consistently great. Would definitely star again. And would definitely recommend Swissôtel Sydney.
