Suggestions: Carpet should be discouraged in rooms due to allergies concerns and a nice tile floor or wooden floor that accents the look of the rooms will suffice as well. Guests carry a lot of stuff on their shoes when they come into rooms. Vacuuming alone does not always do the job as these allergens are deeply embedded in the carpet. Not satisfied with the quality of air. And it was more from the carpet

Room very nice. Dinner excellent. Service and staff very good. Had a business meeting get cancelled at last minute and do to reservation and hotel policy I had to pay the night regardless. You and other hotels with this policy are restricting flexibility. If you want to attract business professionals change your policy.

The overall stay for our group was good. The two main complaints was the food. Our banquet dinner was not good at all. I received many comments that the food was not good at all. My other experience eating was room service breakfast and for the price and quality it wasn't good either. The other complaint was that all verizon carriers had barely any signal so calls were constantly getting dropped. Was hard to communicate on the grounds.

Staff extremely nice Room tv’s below standard for these room prices Restaurant Amaya was horrible. Food was plain, old, and over salted to a point of couldn’t take more than two bites. Hostess was visibly throwing up in a garbage after seating us. Waitress said it’s a bug going around. Not what you want to hear at a restaurant when you sit down to eat.

Always enjoy staying at the Grand. It is one of my favorite places to stay in the San Diego/Del Mar area. Service is always impeccable and the amenities are unlike most hotels. My only complaint is the cost to play golf. My wife and I both like to play, but feel the cost to play golf at the Grand is exorbitant. We can remember when golf was included with your stay if you paid an extra $150 for any day of your stay. We traveled to Camp Pendleton this time and played the Marines Memorial Course for less than $100 with carts included. Food for thought!

The hotel was so opulent yet so comfortable. We saw many guests checking in and out, yet never felt crowded. Our room was a standard room but it was beautifully decorated, roomy so, it was very comfortable. The services from staff was very pleasant but especially the housekeeping staff really exceeded my expectation. They paid attention to detail--for example, the staff tied up my cellphone and iPad charging cords with tiny ribbons. We played golf. The golf course was challenging but not too frustrating. Also, we walked the trails around the hotel and were enchanted by its beauty and serenity. We will definitely come back again sometime.

at check in, I told the check in team member that it was my boyfriends birthday and that this was the reason for our visit. I asked for a birthday treat and sparkling water to be delivered to our room. I told her I’d pay whatever it costs. She took notes. She offered us Champagne as part of the birthday delivery. I said no we don’t drink sparkling water is great. She took notes and wrote it down. Cut to.... nothing at all was brought to our room. NOTHING. No birthday macaroons as she had promised. No sparkling water. NOTHING. Why take notes? Why not do something that a guest offered to pay for? This is not 5 stars and I would never recommend this hotel.
