Good guest service “ELA” “FERHAT”

When I got here I it was too busy, but “ELA” at reception desk and she did amazing job and handled everything. I found her smart, kindly, friendly and professional. She promoted our room to the higher class. After we got our room we had a little bit issues with room service, this time I reached “FERHAT” manager of reception, he pleased me with his understanding of guest service. So he made everything right less than 5 minutes. At the end I think they hired the right person. Thanks again “FERHAT” and “ELA”.

Actually still am in the hotel but my experience is so bad .. room & toilet are not much clean .. room service so bad & no one answer the phone to order food or coffee , we need fork to eat , they told us to pay for it when we call the reception,, door handle broken cannot open from inside 😂

The toilet and bathroom were dirty.The room was not cleaned properly.There were cobwebs around the windows.There was an unpleasant smell in the room and the breakfast was very ordinary.The location of the hotel was very busy and noisy.At first there was no electric kettle in the room, but they brought it to us after we reported it. Tea or tissues were not refilled every day.

As someone who frequently travels for business and private across Europe, I have come to expect a certain level of professionalism, particularly from a hotel operating under a globally recognized brand like Accor Hotels. Unfortunately, my experience at Mercure Istanbul Bomonti has been profoundly disappointing, raising significant concerns about the handling of guests’ personal belongings and the overall accountability of hotel management. The Incident • I stayed at Mercure Istanbul Bomonti from February 10-15, 2025. • On the day of checkout (4:30 AM), I unintentionally left a very expensive black DIOR shirt in my room. • Just a few hours later, I contacted the front desk, and they confirmed that my item had been found. • Due to local DHL shipping restrictions, I was unable to arrange a courier myself, so my assistant stepped in. The hotel agreed to ship the item to me at my own expense, which I promptly accepted. • However, after this agreement, all communication from the hotel ceased—emails and calls were ignored, and no further updates were provided regarding my property. Unanswered Questions & Serious Reputational Concerns At this point, I am left wondering: Why would a hotel refuse to facilitate the return of a guest’s confirmed lost item? Given the circumstances, this raises serious concerns about how personal belongings are handled in this establishment. While I understand that operational delays can occur, what is unacceptable is the complete lack of communication and refusal to uphold a basic standard of service. This is not just a logistical failure—it is a customer service and brand reputation issue. Accor claims to be a leading hospitality brand, yet they allow such shady and irresponsible behavior in one of their properties. If they are incapable of handling something as simple as shipping a forgotten item, what does it say about their overall service quality and security?

i want to write honestly for everyone who want to go to this hotel , positive things : very good breakfast i mean very complete , excellent location ( 4 min walking to osmanbey metro ) and all you need you can find in the hotel street such as markets,pharmacy, restaurant, exchange and etc. the lobby was good ... negatives things are : very rude behavior of a man in reception, he thinks he is the boss and didnt answer to passengers . the rests of receptionist didn't answer like a human :) the room is normal size,not big not small but a little old..not bad.. just it would be better..toilet not very clean it should change. they didnt have Iron to give us :)) it is not ok for 5 stars hotel at all . but totally i will choose this hotel compare to other worse hotels in Istanbul.. if you wanna go to hang out in Istanbul it is the best hotel you can choose ... i hope this review can help you guys .
