Circumstances re the Corona Virus made it difficult for staff to do very much. Attended a reunion there and really enjoyed the evening meal. Excellent Food. Still fail to understand why a double room only has one comfortable chair in it. After a 600 km drive it would be handy to be able to both sit comfortably and not on the end of the bed. Give this some thought please.

A brief business trip The hotel is very convenient - close to town (although you have to drive in) club attached for meals, which you can charge back to your room which makes invoicing easy

In room meals were limited. No free bottled water and had to keep asking reception to put my breaskfast order in as there was no in room slip to fill in ( only on the first night) Bed was compfy

We stayed here recently, from walking the door you feel at home, the staff are absolutely wonderful and super helpful. The location is great, with Coles across the road and a club attached, the rooms are roomy and clean. Will def stay here on our next visit

Booked a room at Mercure Tamworth on the Accor App. After reviewing my work needs I decided to book an extra night, I also used the App to book this room. When I checked in I was greeted very nicely by a new employee who welcomed me for 1 night. I explained that I had booked a second night but the second booking was done seperatelly. She found that booking and thanked me for pointing that out. I asked if i could stay in one room and not have to move rooms as I work night shift and would only be getting back to the motel at 7am. She said she would try, her Manager was standing behind her (training) and said she would get back to me. i checked in around 4PM, I was going to work at midnight to 7am. Around 5pm the manager (I presume Manager) called my room to say they could not help me because the second room rate I booked was different to the first I need to check out at 10am and the wait until 3pm to check back in, she offered to hold my luggage. I explained that I have no issue in paying whatever difference there is and that I need to get some sleep in the morning due to my work hours. She said she could not help me. I then asked if I could get a late checkout or early check in and she said that wont be possible. My second night was a flexi so I cancelled that using the APP the following morning when I checked out and found myself another hotel to stay that was willing to help me. I am extremely disappointed with the attitude and lack of service. I have stayed in many Accor Hotels and have always been treated like any customer should, this time it was clear that there was no intention to even try and help.

Overall a pleasant stay. I stayed for 3 nights. The use of single use plastics for bathroom toiletries is wasteful and Accor should consider changing this to provide refillable shampoo and cleansers.
