Novotel Santa Cruz de la Sierra 5 stars

I would give full score if it wasn't for the horrible and unprofessional check out experience at the Novotel in Santa Cruz in the month of April. The hotel is beautiful, well located, restaurant and bar offerings are great and the staff was amazing.  In particular Miguel and Beatriz at the restaurant and Claudia at reception. We had special needs with my elderly mother and staff went out of their way in every sense. The areas to improve are the showers, the doors and floor levels allow water to run huge pools inside the bathroom making it cumbersome and unsafe. The mattresses, in particular room 708 have met their expire date. Ours were changed after requesting. Some plugs for electronics do not work or are broken. Checkout was a nightmare. Due to illness, we had to prolong our stay and I made payments ahead of time at every extension of our stay. At check out, the last payment for 2 rooms did not appear in the registry and it took over 30 min. for reception to recognize the mistake. To ensure we did not miss our plane, the receptionist said that she would sort it all out and that she would follow up electronically with the final invoice. 5 days later, no action has been taken. Very disappointing.

It was great. Higher rooms have an amazing view. I was pleasently surprised by the good food in the a la carte options: Burger good, bowls good, picanha good. Location was convenient, not he best area for commercial or night life walking, but safe area. Overall a good stay.

Everything about the stay was very positive. The hotel has a good location even if not in teh core business district. The building is modern. The rooms are very well equipped and better than the average Novotel furnishing. The restaurant offers good breakfast, gym and pool allow to relax

Our stay at Novotel was a great experience. The hotel is clean and had all the amenities we needed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We were very comfortable here and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for comfort and great service! Thank you from your friends from Canada!
