Having never been to Liverpool before my wife and I did not know what to expect, but Liverpool, and especially the Albert Docks area, was a revelation. As to the hotel, we both felt covid assured which only heightened our time in Liverpool.

Came to get away after working all week to have had 4 hours sleep, couldn’t put me in another room. Also had to wear ear plugs to mask our the neighbours doing their extremely loud and cringe business

Had a fabulous couple of days. The hotel has a curved frontage and our room had an extremely wide window giving us the most wonderful view of the Liver Building and Mersey.

First visit to Liverpool, hotel in excellent position over looking the Mersey and the liver building. The Precautions to the COVID virus very clear and adhered to. The bedroom was very spacious well decorated and comfortable with a large on suite, view from the half glassed wall impressive. All for a very competitive price.

We had originally booked and pre paid for one night in April but due to Covid-19 we were given a choice to cancel with a refund or put the reservation on hold. We chose to put it on hold and eventually rebooked for September and added and extra night. Check in was straight forward. I think the directions to the car park could have been better. The text said car park access was on rumford place when in fact it's on fazakerley street just off rumford place. Check in was easy. The gentleman who checked us in was knowledgeable and friendly. When we first arrived there was a drunk man in the lobby (not the hotels fault) this was dealt with really well by the grntleman on reception. We got the impression he had plenty of experience of such people. We were first in line for reception but while we were checking in a queue formed. The receptionist acknowledged the queue while still providing us attention and answers to our questions. Once we got to our room we realised it had not been cleaned. We had been upgraded to a suite which was amazing and due to there being no other rooms available we waited for it to be cleaned. We were given a free drink in the bar and money off our food. The room was cleaned quickly and it's more than we could ask for considering it was late and the evening staff would not have expected to clean a room. During our stay the hotel was quite, clean and all staff were friendly. The TV only appeared to show BBC 1 & 2 but we didn't really have any need for the TV so didn't bother us. Just for the news in the morning. We needed to use the iron on Sunday night. For a white shirt. Unfortunately I have been a victim of nasty burnt marks stuck to hotel irons before so I checked before using it on my white shirt. Lucky I checked because there was a burnt mark which would have ruined my shirt. But maybe housekeeping should have done this. Someone could have a bad experience. The solution for breakfast. The grab and go option was really good. This is a great solution as it was ready exactly when we asked and we just needed to make coffee. We were in the breakfast area a few minutes at most. It meant we could keep our distance really easily. Overall we had a really good weekend in Liverpool. We would use this hotel again and would recommend.

When l arrived at the hotel, checked in and parked the car. When we reach our room we could clearly see the hotel was tired and in need of renovation however room was clean and the view of the liver building was amazing. Then we decided to switch TV on and was shocked that it was smashed. I returned to the reception to show the photo I’d taken of the TV and the receptionist was shocked and changed our room also with an upgrade. Our new room again was tired and needing renovated but the view again was stunning and everything was clean. Can not fault the staff and yes I definitely would stay again.

Our stay was enjoyable ,breakfast on our first day was very good we had a full English which was hot and the staff were very friendly,this changed on the Saturday morning when the choice was a bacon or sausage sandwich to take away to your room ,we paid the same for both breakfast and I’m afraid this is not good.

The tv never worked, the phone never worked and wind that I paid £50.00 for was not in the room when we arrived, we were then put in a suite which was better, but the tv only had two channels and the loo paper was rubbish very thin that you could put your fingers through it.......could have done better. One Good point was Chris, he was a waiter and general dogs body, cannot praise him enough, so helpful and polite...a breath of fresh air......

The hotel is in a fantastic location, check in was efficient and helpful and our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It was a slight disappointment that the View bar was closed but this did not detract from our stay.

Overall very good. Staff were friendly and welcoming as always. Room could have been cleaner but under the present circumstances, forgivable. We didn't get a room with a river view this time as we had always been lucky to get one on previous visits. But overall a pleasant stay.
