Great stay with friends

TripAdvisor rating 4.0/5

Onlyr0se TripAdvisor review

Leandra was fabulous, breakfast was great, always being filled up very quickly, order your eggs and mushrooms when you arrive and they will bring them out to you. Beds are comfy, shower good, bathrooms are compact but everything you need. Reception staff are lovely and full of knowledge about the city. Thank you for making our Liverpool trip superb.

Badly in need of a face-lift.

The whole Hotel is looking tired. From the offwhite outside facade to the stained carpets and dirty window frames. Reception area is singularly unattractive with staff hiding behind computer screens. Customer left looking at the back of a monitor. Staff themselves are brilliant and most helpful - but you can't help feeling that they know the place needs an uplift and some serious investment. The story on the street is that the hotel doesn't need to try since it's always full with the football, cruise ships and other city attractions. If so that's a shame. Not my first choice.

City break in Liverpool

simps0nite TripAdvisor review

We stayed for a 4 night package through Majestic Holidays. The hotel was well located. Our room had great views from the 9th floor. The twin room was a bit cramped but clean and adequate. The bed was comfy. Dinner was included and apart from one of the nights the food was fine. The staff were lovely. There was a good choice for breakfast and a poached egg was made upon request. Initially there was a horrible stink outside our room but this was eventually resolved. The room key was a bit iffy which was frustrating. Sometimes there was a lot of noise from other residents in the corridors. We had a fire alarm go off one night just before midnight which was very disruptive but I suppose it couldn’t be helped. Down 9 flights of stairs to street level in my pjs. Makes you think ‘what if?’
