Certificate of excellence 2024

clean room, good breakfast, very courteous personnel, conference room adequate

I came in for the International Fighter Conference, room was nice, very clean, breakfast was good and with variable choice for a sweet or salty meal. The conference room was adequate, maybe a bit too small for the event, catering and common space was very good.

Not very good…

Hotel with a small island reception in an open area. Difficult to access from the street as no main entrance. Lifts do not serve all floors, so you need to get in the right one for your room (assuming it is not closed for maintenance). Room numbers do not always correlate with floor numbers either. Toilet in room didn‘t flush properly, control of the electric blinds did not correspond to the markings on the switches. Breakfast: If you travel alone, your table will be cleared as soon as you go to collect a cup of coffee. It happened to me 3 times in 3 days, even though I left the room keycard on the table to indicate I was still there. All in all, very poorly managed, poorly signposted and no Customer Service. I will not stay there again.

Practially every aspect was at best, mediocre.

Many aspects were maddeningly frustrating. The hotel layout is absurdly convoluted. Room numbers on floor three start with 4. What?? Registry is on floor two. Why? Parking garage numbering is inexplicable. Elevators do not connect - you must know which to take to arrive where you're trying to go. The atrium - a colossal waste of space. The king bed is two twin beds pushed together. There is no top sheet - only a duvet. The room furnishings do not match each other, and are ridiculously uncomfortable for a business traveler who needs to get some rest while completing late day work. Put a sofa in! There's sufficient space! Rooms have no coffee service. Bathrooms have no washcloths - only hand towels and body towels. No conditioner provided - just body soap and shampoo. I can keep going, but you guys need to get out and travel to a real hotel to learn what the hospitality industry has been up to in the last 50 years. I was there for a three day conference. The food was neither appetizing nor tasty. The coffee was overcooked. (The teas you set out were good. ) The pastries were dry and tasteless. The hostess in the restaurant for breakfast was much more concerned with me knowing my room number than whether I understood the offerings or whether I enjoyed my food. The only bright points were a couple of your employees - the bartender (and the bar was well stocked with whiskies) was very good; there was a young brunette lady supporting the International Fighter Conference as a busser. She was very pleasant, efficient, and helpful all three days of the conference. I wish I had gotten her name so you could move her up.

Amazing stay!

First and foremost, the employees were fantastic. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the maintenance man I met in the elevator to the cleaning people servicing the rooms. The rooms were great and the breakfast was amazing. I look forward to returning.

Not so much...

Like the automation of check-in/-out, however it was clearly designed from the perspective of benefitting the company versus the client. Dispiye using the online process it waa redone at check in, meaning a waste of my time and no svaing to the company. I booked onlined upgrade which wasn't processed. When resolved room was poorly maintained. Door to shower handle broken, limited towels, only two glases in a suite. Shower smelled of sewer gas. Overall poorly maintained and disappointing. That said, the conference facilities are excellent. Chairs comfortable, bathrooms in good repair and veru clean, good supplies.
