Mercure Singapore Bugis 4 stars

Stayed on 4 occasions for a total of 7 nights at the Mercure Singapore Bugis between October 13 and November 6. My first stay was from 5-6 October 2023. As I was eager to try out the indulgence package but couldn’t locate it on the app, I called up the hotel and Ms Nadia helped me with my booking. Ms Nadia was patient, accommodating and professional. I was given Room 510. Mr Bahar checked us in but he forgot to return my NRIC to me until an hour later! My stay included breakfast and afternoon tea for 2. Love the tasty Japanese theme afternoon tea at Royale. Comes with 2 drinks per pax! I enjoyed myself so much i proceeded to book another 3 stays. Because the bookings required immediate payment but the app didn’t accept American Express card (& it still doesn’t!) I called front desk and Jasmine came to my rescue. Patiently, she helped me search for the best deal and finalised my 3 stays. Thank you, Jasmine!! She also did the checkout for us. Early check in ✅ Welcome gift ✅ chocolates Room upgrade ✅ signature loft My second stay was from 15 to 17 October 2023. Royston checked us in. The process was fast and pleasant. Royston is exemplary and very very welcoming. I was given Room 1337 (I love rooms on high floor). The air con was fantastic despite being a loft room. Did a key drop as my stay was straight forward. Early check in ✅ Welcome gift ✅ 1 can of Diet Coke Room upgrade ✅ signature loft My 3rd stay was eventful. Booked the Indulgence Package for 2 nights from 27 through 29 October 2023. Michelle attended to us when we checked in. Was initially given Room 637 but housekeeping strangely insisted that I vacate the room by 1 pm. When I told her I just checked in an hour earlier, she was adamant that I leave by 1 pm. Was next given Room 633 but the air-conditioning wasn’t able to cool down the room satisfactorily so I was finally given Room 604. I could say I did a tour of the rooms on level 6 during this stay. Did the key-drop as this was otherwise a straight forward stay. Early check in ✅ Welcome gift ✅ chocolates Room upgrade ✅ signature loft My most recent stay was from 21 to 23 November 2023. The amiable Ms Joey attended to me. She was nice to say the least. We were given Room 1301. The air-conditioning was fantastic! We enjoyed our stays. Early check in ✅ Welcome gift ✅ ✅ chocolates + 2 bottles of Perrier sparkling water Room upgrade ✅ signature loft In conclusion, having stayed in all but one of the Mercure/Grand Mercure hotels in Singapore, I would strongly recommend Mercure Singapore Bugis. The location cannot be more central (eateries, malls, MRT stations & tourist attractions all within walking distance) and the staff in this hotel are pleasant, professional and customer-oriented. Mercure Singapore Bugis treasures us as guests and acknowledges our Accor Gold status. As a Singaporean (& we are known for our fussiness), I would recommend this small, modern and cosy hotel. Great stay guaranteed: Quiet pool with outdoor jacuzzi, self-service laundromat, rooftop garden and comfy bed. Special thanks to Royston, Jasmine, Joey, Michelle and Nadia! Great team!

Very nice lobby and good facilities. Room isn't designed very well, it's satisfactory for one person, I wouldn't want to be sharing. No hair conditioner, only shampoo and body wash. Disappointing that there was no explanation of facilities or services at check in or any sort of information booklet in the room, e.g. room service, use of laundry. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay, would book again as a solo traveller

Happy with the location of the hotel. We only had problems with the shower recess and toilet as it was very small, the door for the shower swung inwards trapping the person in the shower. The toilet had a towel rail on the inside which hits the person sitting in the toilet. Staff were very helpful.

Good things first. I stay at mercure in Europe because they offer local foods for breakfast and they do it here. Dumplings, curry, noodle soups and dishes, eggs in western and local recipes. Location is great easy access to multiple lines. Swimming pool is great. Lots of food places around and plenty of people walking the streets at night. Now the bad. Rooms are small and no luggage stands. Also no drawers, etc. you will be living out of suitcase and putting it on the bed everytime you need it. The door to the shower should be removed. Unless you are the width of an adult toothbrush, yes I measured with mine the door will not get by you to close. They have washers and dryers but it is over 17 dollars to do a load. Minor thing for being a little high.

The room was nice and comfy, however the loft model a bit of hassle as the toilet is downstairs and bed upstairs. The room was clean and cold. The location is nearby bugis+ and bugis junction, close to MRT bugis and Bras Basah.6-10 menutes.
