It was a nice gesture from one of the supervisors i guess to allow us to do an early check in after a 13 hours night trip from Zurich. At first, we were told by the 2 front desk staff that they will see about it but to no avail, we waited for a couple of hours and decided to do laundry instead but these staff were all talk and doesnt know how the laundry works. Im sorry but they didnt even bother to help us with the laundry and let us fugure it amongst ourselves. They know the procedures but when asked about some details, they just said they dont know and asked us to look and read the procedures downstairs. With no wifi working at the basement, one will go up to activate the machine. But were still greatful for this one lady staff who said that there’s an available rooms for us and let us in earlier than expected. Rooms were decent, big beds, comfy and clean! It was nice that we got with breakfast and their options were great. Loved the fresh baked breads and selections of cheeses and fruits! So close to Ams Central too. Just One station away. Thank you

We're pleased to know that you found the room to be clean, with big and comfy beds, and that you enjoyed the breakfast selection, baked breads, cheeses, and fruits. It's also great to hear that our proximity to Amsterdam city center added to your convenience. However, I am sorry for the inconvenience you experienced with the initial wait and the challenges with the self-service laundry. We understand how frustrating it can be to not receive the assistance needed, especially after a long trip. We sincerely apologize for the lack of support provided by our front desk team in that situation. Your feedback has been noted, and we will ensure further training is conducted so that our staff can assist guests more effectively with our facilities. To clarify, we offer two types of laundry services in our hotel. The first is the self-service laundry located on floor -1, which you used. This service requires guests to download an application on their phone, activate the machine through it, and pay within the app. Instructions are displayed in the laundry room itself. We understand that the lack of Wi-Fi in the basement may have posed an additional challenge, and we will look into improving connectivity in that area. The second option in an external laundry service, where guests can fill out a form provided in the room and bring their clothes to the reception. Payment for this service can be made at the reception, and the clothes are returned the same evening. We hope this information will be helpful for any future visits. Additionally, I would like to mention that early check-in is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed in advance. When rooms are ready upon arrival, we are more than happy to accommodate early check-ins. If the room is not yet available, we offer the option to securely store your luggage so that you can unwind and explore the nearby city center, which is just 5 minutes away. First time in Amsterdam and it was the b2st experience we have had. The staff were accommodating and friendly and nothing was ever an issue or any trouble. The rooms were stunning and a good size and everywhere we went in the hotel including our room were clean and well stocked. We use the hotels facilities and the sky bar was such a treat. Touch of luxury and we enjoyed our final night there. I have no words to express how we felt here but I have been recommending to all my family and friends and we would definitely come back to Amsterdam and stay at the Mercure.

lovely stay, the food was very good as well as the service the only let down was the noise for other guest that could be heard, better insulation to dampen the noise would be great.
