The hotel is very well located, the rooms are spotless, the common areas are in perfect condition, and the receptionists are very friendly, especially Frank, who recommended several places to visit. He was always smiling and very pleasant. If you're looking for a hotel that's close by, clean, and has friendly staff, this is the hotel for you. It's a 5-minute train ride from the central station. The hotel is 2 train stops from the airport.

My hotel room was good, breakfast was superb. Very near to public transport, it took only 1 station to Amsterdam Central.

Booked a double bed room directly with Accor website for 2 nights. Reached hotel around 10 pm. Paid up front, got the room keys, the room was a single bed. Went back to reception, they said it’s a mistake as booking is of single person. I showed them the email confirmation from the hotel. They agreed and corrected it, took payment for breakfast for one more person and gave a double bed room key. Took bags to new room and opened it, somebody was already sleeping in the room. The guest shouted as expected. We went back to the reception, the receptionist looked again in the system and said sorry there are no rooms. Out of courtesy they called Mercure Amsterdam North and moved us to another property confirming only 1 night as 2nd night availability can only be confirmed in the morning. We reached Mercure Amsterdam North around 12 am, got a room. The 2nd morning there was no hot water in the whole hotel. No quick response as there is no phone to contact the reception and only contact is WhatsApp. Receptionist said “Sorry there is no plumber the problem is in the whole building” Overall - Paid more than 350 Euros and got a torture of an experience. Not expected from a brand like Mercure.
